Excellent Service

EXCELLENT Front desk customer service and the overall service was exceptional as well. Especially night desk person "Allen", super attentive, knowledgeable about every detail regarding our requests and super patient. Would definitely stay here again. Great location in the Chinatown downtown area, walking distance to restaurants, subway, little Italy museums, and canal street shopping.

50 Bowery was home away from home!

This wouldn’t be a 5 star hotel for everyone, but for us…it was. We loved the location, perfect for a morning run over the Manhattan Bridge, then walking LES, Noho and Soho until we trained it uptown for museums and shows. We are a family of 3 and the double room was spacious, for Manhattan, and sparklingly clean. Enjoyed the rooftop bar twice (not on the weekend!) while our 16 year old daughter had solo room time. Got tea and the paper every morning on the 2nd floor. Came back every night to warm welcoming front desk staff. Thanks 50 Bowery for 10 great New York days! If you are looking for a full restaurant this is not your hotel. Also the rooftop bar and club/lounge on the main/lower level are loud and busy on the weekends.

My favorite hotel in New York
Reviewed 25 march, 2023
I come to New York almost every month for work. Sometimes for extended periods up to two weeks. Whenever I come it’s a no brainer to stay at the 50 Bowery. The rooms are always incredibly clean with a great view. The hotel has great finishes that make it feel like a luxury hotel but at an affordable price. There’s also a small gym at the bottom which is a rarity in New York hotels. My absolute favorite part about the hotel is the location. It absolutely cannot be beat. It’s at the base of the Manhattan bridge so if you want to hop over to Brooklyn you can. You’re also on the cusp of Chinatown, Little Italy, and a 10 minute walk from Soho. All the most fun areas of New York. My favorite part after checking in is popping up to the hotel bar and taking in the view of the skyline from “The Crown.” It’s not to be missed!

Unbearable Noise on Weekends
Reviewed 23 march, 2023
Sleep is impossible on Friday and Saturday night due to the excessively loud music from the rooftop club and the thin walls. The staff attempted to dismiss complaints and did not acknowledge the unmistakable club beats that could be felt through the floors.

Destination fee rip off spoils otherwise outstanding experience
Reviewed 22 march, 2023
Great experience. But why the destination fee? $30 a day. If it isn’t optional then no reason not to include it in the room rate. It’s a hotel. I don’t get charged a parking fee when filling car up with gas. or a seat fee when eating at a restaurant. Smacks of desperation. Good hotel.
