Not 4 star hotel!
Reviewed 27 november, 2021
Staff was nice, but the hotel was no where close to a 4 star. A 2-3 stars at best. They really got some good photographs but the rooms were a big disappointment in reality and looked nothing like the pictures. The lobby was tiny and dated. Rooms were tired with old carpet and depressing black bathrooms. Breakfast was refrigerated packages of presealed food. Overall not what I was expecting at all. The only saving grace were the staff which is why it earned 2 stars at all.
Will Definitely Be Back! Friendly Staff, Spacious Rooms, Great Location & Price!

Everything about this hotel is first rate. We were greeted at the door by a super friendly and continually helpful staff. Cute room, industrial, fun modern details and great views of lower Manhattan. The shower was AWESOME. Nice bath products. A free wine event soon after arrival and breakfast the next morning (which we were too hungover to check out, lol, but it was available). Felt pampered. Plus, the location was perfect for excellent restaurants and great shows in LES. Very quiet accommodations and the bed was super comfortable. Fantastic value for the price. Will definitely be back! :)
Hotel on Rivington, SO Special!

The Hotel on Rivington is a NYC treasure. Our visit at the Rivington exceeded every expectation. We were assisted from the moment we arrived in front of the hotel. Each person we interacted with made it a special overnight stay. There’s a parking garage immediately around the corner. The neighborhood is unique and wonderful to explore. Directly across the street is “Economy Candy” (an institution since 1937). The “Tenement Museum”, RockWood Music Hall, Russ and Daughters, Katz’s Deli, numerous unique shops are all a short walk away. The Hotel on Rivington rooms are spacious, sparkling clean, bathrobes feel delicious. Entire staff is attentive and professional. This hotel is a 5 star at a bargain price. We booked directly with the hotel instead of an app and got a discount. We fortunately were able to purchase tickets to see Rachael (Price) & Vilary at Rockwood Music Hall (opening act was also phenomenal; still trying to get more info about them). We made the trip into an overnight stay. So glad we did!
Attelier Rooms have great views but Hotel restauarant / bar not yet open

The Atelier rooms have wonderful views of Southern Manhattan and good beds. Generally well equipped! The heat at 78F as set by the Hotel and the Chambermaid was too hot most of the time so we turned it off and opened the balcony door to get temp close to normal. Each time we returned from an excursion the Chambermaid had reset it to 78 / heat and closed the doors. The restaurant and bar and other facilities were still closed so we experienced the neighborhood which is great (breakfast next door at the Dominican Rep restaurant) but the hotel really should re-open to provide a full service experience. Thus the 4 star rating.
Living in its glory days

Cool little hotel. In a lively neighborhood. It’s rated at a 4 star hotel and let me say it’s definitely not. Location could be but be aware that what was advertised is not what you’ll be getting. I booked an executive king room which only states on their site that you’ll have a separate living room to the bedroom and was given a way different room. I had to ask for a change. I’d recommend staying somewhere else. The hotel room was okay. During my 2 nights there I didn’t even get my room cleaned or fresh towels once. My reservation was for 5 nights. I ended up leaving early and moved to the “Standard” hotel in Lower east village. Also management at rivington loves to take your money even if you stay was not what you expected. This place is out dated and would recommend you stay elsewhere
