Excellent Thanksgiving Experience!

Magical Thanksgiving family vacation! Front row seats for the parade. Absolutely perfect location. Steps from Central Park and so much more. We accidentally left items behind in our safe when hurried for an early morning flight. Upon calling the hotel, we were immediately transferred to the head of security. The staff kindly collected our items after our departure and had them shipped priority. What service!!
Staff need more help -- Customer Service is not a priority

The hotel is a perfect location for the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade. It was super full of dancers/band members and tourists like ourselves. Check in took 1 hour. Elevators were crowded. Pick a room on the 15th floor to get access to 6 elevators (going up) versus just 3. I have always given places the benefit of doubt. Overall we were disappointed with the service and hence why the 2 star review. Our room only had one towel. We also needed linens for the sofa bed. We were told we can not get anything from the front desk -- have to call customer care. We called 'customer care' at 1045pm, 1138pm, and again 110am. The staff picking up the calls were nice but I can tell they are overwhelmed. I finally got someone to bring up the towels and linens at 130AM! A three hour delay and having to call 3 times for something so simple and small -- not up to Hilton brand standards.
Great location lacking amenities

I always loved staying at this hotel. Nice lobby and they have added good food option. Dissatisfied with the room amenities. No coffee maker and no bottled water. I always stay at Marriott and have come to the spect these amenities. The Hilton needs to up their game.

Last minute trip to NYC, on my own, and the people there were the best, made me feel welcome. I will stay here whenever I'm in the city. Actually changed my April 2022 reservation to stay here, hoping for many more.
No amenities for diamond members

I stay at Hilton brands whenever possible. I usually stay at the millenium Hilton downtown, but thought I’d give this one a shot. They let me check in early, which was very nice. The room was minuscule, even by New York standards. Two people could not have shared it. But it was generally clean and comfortable. The hotel is in a decent location. It was absolutely packed with guests and, frankly, seemed understaffed. The bar has last call at 11:30pm due to quote “decline in business due to the pandemic”. Plenty of patrons were turned away last night shortly after 11:30. The thing that really got me was there were virtually no amenities for diamond members. At check I was informed that I would get a $20 credit at the bar and $10 credit in the restaurant. But this is not an amenity you pay for this as a $30 resort fee. I spend a lot of money at Hilton properties, am a Hilton Amex card holder and, as I mentioned, a diamond member. And this just really bothered me. The room itself was a fortune. And almost $50 for an anemic breakfast buffet? There were like six hot selections and some fruit and limp cold cuts. Highway robbery. I would never stay at this property again.
