Worst staff that I have experience. Bad service.
Good location and decent room. They claim that due to COVID, they will not clean the room every dat but we stayed for 4 nights and our room was only cleaned on the first night. They offer free breakfast but they closed the service before the limit time even though we were making a line for more than 30 minutes. I read decent reviews before staying there so I was surprise of our bad experience. My recommendation, go to ANY other hotel, not the RIU Plaza Times Square.
Excelent location & good service.
To begin with, I would like to talk about the location, a highlight since it is practically next to Times Square. From the room you could see part of Manhattan, even if they place you like me in a room with moderate height it can give you a lot of impression. Apart from this wonderful hotel many excursions begin to visit the Big Apple. The morning breakfast is excellent, the variety of food is endless! It is the turn to talk about the rooms. They are the perfect size and have great views. The service is very good, very friendly and very attentive. I highly recommend this hotel as value for money is quite good.
Don't Stay Here. It's Dirty & Disorganized!
Upon entering the hotel room, it was clear that it was not cleaned very well previously. The bedsheets were clearly not washed - we were shocked and disgusted to find small hairs dispersed across the sheets. There was also hair and other small dirt and debris found on the hotel room floor and in the bathroom. A layer of dust was found on top of the headboard. The lack of cleanliness was especially concerning considering the fact that a pandemic is plaguing the nation currently. Overall, it felt very uncomfortable and unclean which made it hard to relax and sleep well inside the room. We simply asked for a new bed set to replace ourselves, and did not take further action assuming that housekeeping would clean our room the next day of our stay. When we came back to the room the next night, we were disappointed to see that housekeeping had never arrived. When calling the front desk, the receiver seemed disorganized about the situation. After waiting for more than half-an-hour, we decided to simply just ask for replacement towels to be sent to our room as it seemed like housekeeping would not be arriving that evening. Finally, there was also a leak in our shower which led to water spilling out of the bathroom and forming a big puddle in the entrance area. After the trip, I wrote an email to complain to the Corporate office which refused to take any action and suggested that I reached out to the travel agency that booked my trip instead. That was totally outrageous. The travel agency did their job booking the room but they obviously could not be held responsible for how the hotel was run. I would definitely not recommend staying at a place like this where customers' complaints are totally disregarded.

The location was PERFECT
Great location and experience. One of the stuff members a lady was a little mean when I asked if they had toothpaste and she said no. Other than that everything was great.I love the breakfast an everything was just high class...
