Not worth the Price

Reviewed 7 october, 2015

Rooms have the standard of a cheap motel. Therefore the price of $120 a night is way too much. In Addition, I had to do some job searching and the wifi didnt work all two days long I stayed there although I told it at the reception. Very inconvenient.

Not a fabulous experience...

Where to start. Turned up at 7pm to be told I couldn't check in until 8pm. Not a tremendous start; informed the man at reception that such a restriction wasn't part of the booking terms and was stated nowhere on any website or my confirmation. Anyway, had to stand outside and wait. Met some interesting people, one of which told me not to go out after dark. So yes,the area; handy for the subway but that's about it. Manhattan is probably 30mins, and the airport about the same. The rooms where fine, large and pretty much clean, with toiletries. Rooms have a tv that needed to be old school shifted about for reception. It has cable channels, lots of porn if that's your thing...it was certainly my neighbours! There's no dead locks on the doors so I put a chair under the handle. Not sure if that alone sums up my experience! Pretty pricey for what was offered, but there does seem to be a gap in NYC for hotels between high end/price,and pay by the hour. I paid $120 plus booking fees, but even a 12 dorm bed was $55. It did for a night and my onward journey, hence the poor and not terrible rating.

huh it was ok, But

It was ok Overpriced, for a nights stay, but if i booked online it was about $50 difference, instead of what there online price of 140 says, but i guess they need the $$$ Location and all, there rules are dumb you can't have more than 2ppl to an room. which makes no sense if your paying for the room how can you monitor my company. check out is too early i got there at about 9-10 o'clock they don't tell you when check out is... but would hang the phone up on you in the morning on the wake up call when trying to get info from the (The RUDE SPANISH LADY) as someone MENTIONED... Overall A GOOD GET AWAY FOR A NIGHT ONLY... KING size bed on 2 twins box spring, suprised there wasn't any Bed Bugs a plus... good getaway not for a long term STAY at all...

I had a very amazing time there. The rooms were very clean and nice. The bathrooms most importantly nice ( I am very possessive about the bathrooms I use). I really recommend this place. It was great staying here.

I was scared staying here as a tourist

The rooms themselves were big and spacious and had all that you need. A bit tired and dated and need a good clean. The neighbourhood is very scary after dark. I would not venture out. This place is a rent per hour establishment so gives you the idea of what this place is like
