Booked 2 queen beds only to check in and find out they call full size queens. They told me I had 2 queens when in fact they were 2 full. Very disappointing. If you need more space this is not the hotel for you.
Feels a little too expensive

Location is pretty good, but overall it feels a little expensive (small room for 5 on ground floor so no chance of a view, no breakfast, heating was not working fortunately as Management was aware we were given a portable heater). One night we could not sleep until 2.30 am due to strong bass vibrations, only the next day we understood it was from rap music in the next room! Had a word with the neighbors and it was OK. Bathroom working OK. We used the bar area to have breakfast we purchased elsewhere. Friendly bar staff and decent food in the evenings.

Nothing luxurious -- but don't be scared by these terrible reviews!

I stayed at the TRYP by Wyndham for three nights with two of my girlfriends in a room with two queen beds. I was realllly worried after reading all of these negative reviews, but I feel like a lot of people who are saying it's the "worst place ever" must've been expecting the Ritz. It's nothing fancy -- I'll give you that. Things are tight these days, and it shows in some places.. things looking a bit worn-down or a bucket/mop or trash bags sitting out in the lobby. BUT it's in an excellent location -- right near the subway and multiple landmarks. The rooms are also a VERY good size for NYC. The housekeeping staff came everyday and did a wonderful job, and even brought extra towels right up when we needed them. I'll agree with people who say it's not the fanciest place, but it was great for our girls trip and for the price we paid, I was more than happy and would most definitely stay again. I hope this eases some of your fears... because believe me, I was freaking out, too! :)
