Would not come back!

Reviewed 30 july, 2021

We were disappointed with our stay at this inn. The room left a lot to be desired: dirty, dated furnishings, nowhere to put things, couldn’t see tv. Parking was horrendous. No one checked us in, no one told us to order breakfast the night before, and no one told us that breakfast was in a different building. As I read these reviews now, I see it has happened to others. We sat in the wrong place for 30 minutes as our food got cold in a different building. The owner refused to talk to us at that time and on other occasions. He was rude, intimidating, and of no help. I love old inns, just not this one.

Ia great way to ruin our vacation!

Reviewed 11 july, 2021

It was the great way to ruin our trip to Newport. I don’t know who admiral Ferragut was, but he definitely would be ashamed to have this hotel named after him. There were so many issues: first of all the price. For almost $600 we expected a refrigerator, a coffee machine, a table, good WiFi, enough place for clothes and suitcases in the room. It was absolutely horrible parking situation. All trip we were stress out about parking at the hotel. Quality of the included breakfast was good, but you supposed to ordered this the night before. And no one told us about it! They tried to compensate this with great customer service. Which was nice. Although location of the hotel was grate: walkable to the main attractions I won’t recommend anybody to stay in this hotel. !!!!!

Best Inn Keeper! Treated like family.

Reviewed 4 july, 2020

Rich is the most outstandingly gracious Inn Keeper. I asked and he delivered in every way. This is a family run Inn. You see the attention to guests needs. Fantastic home cooked breakfast. A memorable escape into beautifully maintained properties steeped in history. Thank you Rich and we look forward to our next stay. Danny

Absolutely awesome!!!

What can I say? Everything was amazing.....Rick the owner was just the best host and his staff was also accommodating should you have any questions. He was always available to help or just answer questions.....The room was so clean and spacious....Parking was right there and there is no need to move your car all weekend because you are just steps away from everything. The breakfast was delicious and they offer many choices...eggs, pancakes and french toast to name a few.. Thanks for a great stay! Gary & Diane

Mu husbands and I a night becaus one of the inn's employees insisted on blasting his car radio, while just sitting in it

Reviewed 7 january, 2019

Mu husbands and I a night becaus one of the inn's employees insisted on blasting his car radio, while just sitting in it while the thing was parked in the guest parking lot. The kid would blast his radio at full volume at the most inappropriate random hours-6 a.m., 7 a.m., 8:30 a.m., 10 p.m., 12 a.m., 3 a.m., etc. Of course it had to be 'gangster rap" and it was the sake song over and over and over. It was so loud, the windows in our room vibrated. When we brought this up with one of the staff--she was patronizing and asked us 'if we were sure" that even happened. The hotel staff seem more interested in amusing themselves with playing bad music loudly or loitering around and talking poorly about the guests instead of assisting those that overpaid to stay there. It is a beautiful inn. There were 2 girls there that were pleasant and helpful. A lot of drunk vagrants kept wandering up and down the street as well. It's not in a good neighborhood.
