My husband and I stayed here for one night while in Nogales. The room had a faint smoke smell. The room set off my allergies. They request a quick check of the room befoes you check out at the end to make sure nothing has been stolen as they have had issues in the past. If you skip the room check, they charge you $20. The floor is quite dirty and turned the soles of my feet black. The refrigerator was huge and their was a small gap that you had to squeeze through between the refrigerator and the wall on the way to the bathroom. The bed was comfortable. They have a pool. They have no breakfast in the morning, though, they have a gas station next door that gives free coffee. They have a number of restaurants within walking distance.
Decent location, avoid staying next to the office!

Overall, the room was decent, if not a bit smaller than usual Motel 6 rooms. The bed was on the soft/lumpy side but the room was overall clean. The TV worked fine, but there was no refrigerator or microwave. The shower curtain was not long enough, so water would end up on the bathroom floor despite being careful, which could be a hazard.
The worst part was around 2am: someone drove up right next to our room with their large truck and left it running a while. Additionally, the person/people were talking very loudly and then carried on their loud talking for several hours in the office. Being next to the office (room 101) and with thin walls, we could hear a male voice speaking Spanish loudly for a good portion of the night (about 2am - 6am). There's no way to know if this person was an employee or a friend of an employee, but their voice was definitely coming from the office. As one might expect, all the loud talking was very disruptive to our sleep.
If not for that employee/friend talking so loud for most of the night, the rating would be 4. If you stay here and are told your room is 101, ask for a different room!

The only thing I can really complain about is that at the time I did not know as a veteran and American Legion member, DAV or Amtes, I could have received a discount. I saw no obvious poster or indicator in the Office area. So if you do not know before hand, you might not get the discount offered. You have to specifically ask for it. The stay itself was pleasant and as expected. Housekeeping could do a bit better job at cleanliness, but all in all, okay.

I stayed in this place when my plans for the night fell through, and I needed to find a place for the night, rather than the alternative – a night in the car in a rest place along the road. I managed to book this place through Expedia, and to be honest, I wasn't expecting much.
The building is old, and reception was busy at the time I arrived (around 9 pm). However check in was courteous and trouble free, although I heard another customer complaining about the smell of smoke in this room and demanding to be shifted.
When I entered my room, I noticed that security on the door of my room was good, but the room was cold, and I so turned off the air-con and left it off -- the room was comfortable enough without it.
There wasn't a lot of noise outside and I slept OK.
In the morning, I couldn't turn the shower on, and asked for help. Two guys from maintenance came in, one gave the faucet a thump, and voila! My shower was functional and the maintenance guys sneered at me.
The problem was actually a lack of maintenance -- in order to stop the shower dripping, it had to be turned off more than usual, and in the case of this new occupant, gave every indication of being stuck. I am reasonably strong, but I wasn't to know the rules of engagement here. As for the maintenance guys, putting in a new washer and fixing the thing would be a way better option than sneering.
On this trip I mostly used the 3G/4G on my phone, and so I don't recall if I used the motel's wifi or not.
From memory, check out was 12 noon, which allowed plenty of time to make a few purchases in the morning at a nearby Walmart (I walked there, or it would have been a short drive in the car), breakfast at McDonald's in the same shopping place, and getting my laundry done in a place just across Mariposa Road.
After I'd checked out, I noticed the pool ... it would have been great for an early morning swim.
This place was definitely was not luxe, but I survived it, and it served its purpose – it provided me shelter when I needed it. .
