Bath Remodel Badly Needed

Bed was clean and comfortable and carpet seemed newer and clean BUT the bathroom in room 216 was desperately needing a remodel. Water stained tub and sink. Many of the tiles werevcompletely loose from the floor.
Convenient accommodations near I-55

Lots of options for food and easy On/Off access from interstate. Unfortunately not all amenities, hot breakfast, pool, fitness facility was open due to Covid. Fairly quiet location.only ice machine is on first floor

Booked the hotel for they had an indoor pool, once I arrived I was told that the pool was closed due to Covid by to state law. This is not accurate for I have stayed at several hotels in Illinois with all of their pools being open to guests along with health clubs and public pools. What a waste of my time. Room and lobby area looked outdated. Save your money and go elsewhere.
Not sure how this place is rated so well...

We normally stay at Fairfield Inns when travelling because they are clean, simple and comfortable, at a reasonable price. Unfortunately they were booked and we needed a place to stay so we booked this one based on the good ratings. First, it smells stale and there is an odor in the air that I cannot describe, but it's not pleasant. Second, it's not that clean... The paint is messed up, the wall paper is old, the carpet is torn, there's rust and stains on the walls, curtains and door frames, and the bed was just "ok" - also the notification says the pool and hot tub Thereare both closed until further notice... was no comparison, really. We would never stay here again, especially considering that the price was pretty much the same as what we'd been paying for Fairfield, where everything is super comfy, smells like bleach and has a premium bed. I can't believe that Radisson would even put their name on this place!
Old, dirty & outdated

I'm a travel agent and have stayed at many Country Inn's and this one is by far the worst one ever. Old hotels are fine but this one was filthy in hallways, rooms and everywhere in between. I understand that there are staff shortages everywhere but our room had not had a good cleaning in a very long time & that is unacceptable.
