We stayed for one night. Enhanced cleaning is questionable. One of the trash cans had not been emptied. I found the room in need of some deep cleaning!! One bed Spread did not look clean. Bathroom seemed fairly clean
Hair, crumbs and bugs, OH MY!
Girls trip for Amana Colonies we found this Sleep Inn close enough to civilization and our destination. Reviews said newly remodeled and it was reasonably priced so we booked it. We arrived at approx 8:30pm. Anna was working the front desk and was very nice. I was surprised that the hotel would only provide fresh towels during our stay. Covid was preventing them from servicing the rooms normally. Hot tub and pool were CLOSED. Room #303. Got to our room. Pulled back the sheets to do the "normal" checks. Bed looked like it had been slept in. There were MULTIPLE dark hairs on the white pillow case as well as stains on the white sheets and comforter. We called the front desk and Anna was able to get us into another room. Room #305. Did the "normal" checks in this room. Beds looked fine, however there was spittle on the bathroom mirror, crumbs on the couch and floor along with dead bugs. Pretty sure this room was not vacuumed after the last guest. Called the front desk again, Anna asked us to come down and she would show us to another room and we could all look at it together before we moved in. Outside of this room on the second floor, Anna stopped. The look on her face said it all and then we smelled it. Someone was smoking marijuana (not legal in Iowa) in the room next door to where we were going to check. Anna turned to us and apologized that she would not be able to help us, that was the last room available, we should find somewhere else to stay and that she would refund our reservation. Being a Choice Privileges member I exected a lot more from this hotel. Being a woman, trying to find a hotel at 10pm in an unknown area is never something I want to do ever again. Thanks to the Holiday Inn Express in Coralville who not only got us into a clean room on the first try, they also had their pool and hot tub open AND had regular service from housekeeping. Don't waste your time or money at this Sleep Inn. Pay the extra couple bucks and go down the road to Holiday Inn Express!
Pet-friendly and safe location
Couple traveling with a small dog...all 3 of us enjoyed our stay here. Good location and friendly staff. Clean and quiet room. Comfy bed. Good shower with a drain that actually works. Would most definitely stay here again.
Safe neighborhood, clean hotel
Located in a nice, newer neighborhood. We felt safe and room was quiet. Spacious suite with separate bathroom. Clean, comfortable beds and fluffy comforters. No breakfast was served due to coved restrictions. Will stay here again. Great rate through Choice Hotels online.
Comfortable and Clean
Stayed overnight at this Sleep Inn as we traveled home from a month's vacation. Room was very clean and there were plenty of towels available. Beds were comfortable and hotel was in a quiet area convenient to expressway.
