Very nice but not what I expected

Reviewed 5 december, 2021

The hotel while updated still feels dated. For what they charge I expected a lot more. The service is very good. Probably the only redeeming value. From the valet to the beach all the workers are very attentive and provide excellent service. Overall I just don’t see a lot of amenities here. There is a lack of restaurants. No real shops. No fun locations like a game room. The food while I didn’t eat too much there was overpriced and not very good. I expected a lot more. The beach is overcrowded. The chairs are not very comfortable and should be replaced. Overall I don’t see the value.

Words cannot express my utter distain for this property. Quite possibly the worst Ritz-Carlton experience I’ve ever had in my life. They sent a message saying they would be undergoing construction and how they would work to ensure it doesn’t limit their guest experience during this time. The guest experience was absolutely awful. It’s like being at one of those breathless or all you can eat kind of places where you have to cattle herd to try and get a drink or food on property. Service at breakfast was the worst I’ve ever had. Small coffee cups and they don’t leave a pot at your table, you just have to wait for the server to come around and refill you which doesn’t happen often. This was just the absolute worst experience I’ve ever had in my life in a hotel. If you can avoid this property until this remodel is over I suggest doing so.

great service

It is great to feel welcome and every time you walk the property the staff make you feel at home, we love it here. We will definitely be coming back. Beach was really nice and clean, Sunsets are the best.

Disappointing is an understatement

Sure the hotel is beautiful, but when you’re staying at the Ritz Carlton you are expecting top service. The beach was rowdy with people smoking and blasting music (two things they claim are prohibited but no one said a peep). Being pregnant, this was a huge turnoff and we weren’t able to use the beach because of it. It happened twice, where the people seated next to us were smoking. The chairs are so close together, this was a HUGE inconvenience and the workers didn’t seem to care when we complained.

DON'T GO

Reviewed 14 october, 2021

This was our 5th visit to the Naples Ritz Carlton. Our previous visits were so nice that we greatly anticipated our arrival. We were surprised about the MASSIVE construction under way that affected everything you would normally enjoy at a high end hotel. Only 2 restaurants were opened and the food was expensive and just so-so. The pool was just about unusable, the spa and fitness center consisted of 4 adjoining guest rooms open together with sparse equipment . Jackhammers, giant cranes, rebar being put in place--really? Very Loud Constantly! Somewhere on a last minute confirmation notice there was a small disclosure of some construction under way. Too little too late. Not anywhere near enough information. Last but not least the hotel stores were more than boring unless you want to buy a crystal picture frame or floral bathing suit. Save your money or go elsewhere.
