Nice part of town with lots of nearby the shopping, chain resturants and even personal care, Nail salons. The building looks new. Fun, fresh decorations. The third floor was very quiet without any street noise, as it is off of the main drag by just a little bit. Don't expect to buy much food at the hotel, as their "store" really was not stocked. Breakfast buffet was open Sunday 7-10am with many of the items individually prepacked, including the slices of bread, muffins, & plasticware. It was great to have scrambled eggs and a hot sausage patty. The cereals were limited and missing a children's selection that day. Good drink selections with a wide variety of high quality teas. They had hand sanitizers by the elevators but they were not checked often as the one on the third floor wasn't functioning. Pack your own body lotion as it's no longer being provided in the bathrooms with the free toiletries.
Not the best Fairfield Inn

This property is an old one and it shows. The elevator was broken, which I was informed about, but only after I needed to contact the hotel to get my reservation correctly honored - they changed the room type on me. It was a loud night with kids running around until after midnight. The breakfast was on the low end of choices. Would find a different place when coming back to the area. The lady at the reception had to interrupt her listening to music when I wanted to check out and I felt sorry for her about it….
ELEVATOR BROKEN MORE THAN A MONTH!

The hotel elevator has been broken for more than a month! We arrived late at night and our luggage was put on a cart. We are staying for a week and had 5 bags at about 250 pounds. The clerk just casually mentions the elevator is out of service so the cart is useless. We we told the elevator would be fixed in the morning. That didn’t happen and the same clerk said it’s out of their hands and been that way for over a month. Not what you would expect from a Marriott property. I’m a few nights away from Platinum and this experience certainly doesn’t feel like my loyalty is valued. If you plan to stay here, there is a high likelihood you will carry your luggage up the stairs like a Motel 6.

We had a reservation, arrived late in day. The elevator was broken, clerk said no available rooms on first floor. No one to carry luggage up the stairs for two 80+ year old travelers. No sympathy given. If your elevator is out of order, you need to hire a person to assist guests.
Not worth the $$$

We stayed at this place last Saturday. We picked it because we are a family with a 12 year old boy and we were taking he and a friend to Michigan Adventure. The room was a "one bedroom with pull out couch". We have stayed in many of these over the years and never had an issue. We also wanted to be sure the boys could swim. when we checked in I asked when the pool closed. I was told their pool was never open. It had not been open since COVID started. I stated this was not on the website and the front desk person started arguing with me. Then we checked into our room which was much smaller than most 1 bedrooms and when the couch bed was not even a double. It came out of a love seat (2 cushions). When the couch was pulled out you couldn't get past it to go the bathroom (that's how small the room was. We paid $260 for our night plus tax. We will never stay there again. Rude front desk staff, small rooms. Not sure how you can charge so much when your hotel actually isn't 100% open.
