Great place in the Vendicari Nature Reserve
Le Zagare is a quaint agritourism bed and breakfast with swimming pool that provides all the basic amenities for a comfortable and simplistic permanence, in a place conveniently situated in a zone that facilitates access to Vendicari nature reserve beaches and historical towns less than an hour away. The service at Le Zagare is cordial and efficient, which allows one to adopt the Sicilian attitude of being able to relax with the reassurance that your needs will be satisfied...... This b&b's host is always available, resourceful and accommodating as a concierge would be and it's a neat residence I'd recommend, especially for the exquisite simplicity of food that's served.
Surrounded by lemons!
There is a small vegetable farm on the property, but you can take a walk in the nearby lemon and orange farms as well. The farmhouse is fine, but the people running it are amazing. We will remember Le Zagare for 2 things; 1. The great food: We easily had the best dinners here in Sicily. The chef was amazing – we never thought lemon chicken could taste so good! 2. The hospitality : Giuseppe went out of his way to show us around – from Marzamemi to Noto.
Relaxing
Guiseppe goes out of his way to provide warm hospitality. He is very thoughtful and his staff are obliging in every way. Food was tasty and organic. Pool was clean and nice. Plenty of activities for children. Good location to tour the area and return for dinner. Beach is a short car ride away. A great location to combine relaxation and sightseeing. Would definitely recommend staying at le Zagare.
Lovely stay!
We had a lovely stay at Le Zagare. The hosts are gracious and always willing to help. The place is child friendly with a little play area and a kids' pool. A baby cot was also made available to us upon request. The place is spotlessly clean and the food is simply divine. Highly recommended! It is also off a main road so very easily accessible. It is close to the beautiful San Lorenzo beach, Marzememi, Noto and Lido di Noto. Nothing to fault really - we could have used an electric kettle in the room, but other than that, everything was perfect. It is really good value for me!
Nice base for visiting nearby towns and nature reserve
The owners have built several clean and modern cottage-type rooms, and have a restaurant that uses produce from their farm. There's a nice pool, and you can borrow a bicycle to ride to the nearby beach and nature preserve, although the ride is a bit hazardous. The historic towns of Noto, Ragussa, Modica and others are no more than an hour or so away.
