Good 3 Stars

Good rooms, very comfortable, good food, could improve as well as the little variety of their dishes, the service of the very reduced bar hours, although it has to do with contingency, in addition to the null activity on the beach and night events. thanks

My husband and I traveled together and booked a room with an ocean view for a great price. When we arrived, they bumped us up to a one-bedroom suite! It was located a couple floors above the lobby and had a great big balcony over-looking the pool area. The kitchen had a few essentials and there was purified water available on each floor to fill the pitcher provided by the hotel. I slept on one of the living room sofas because the bedroom window faced the street. You can hear the waves crashing all night. The room was clean enough, but there were definitely signs of ocean moisture. If you're a clean-freak, you may not like that. But for us? Who cares. It's all about being in the ocean anyway!
The scene outside was filled with children's laughter and Mexican families enjoying vacation together. Kids hung out in the pool and most parents posted up under palapas out front - complete with music and lotsa tequila! It's pretty lively out there.
The uncrowded beach is vast and perfect for swimming. I saw a school of stingrays cruise by during one of my dips. It was beautiful.
The breakfast buffet included with our room was perfect and included your familiar favorites including chilaquiles. menudo and an omelette bar. The jugo verde is awesome! While there is coffee in the room, it's pretty easy to just go down and grab a couple cups - since it's already included in the room. You'll be charged for room coffee.
The location is a little isolated (Nuevo Vallarta), but you still have a few restaurants and a great Eco-Cafe to choose from for dining. There's also an OXXO across the street to stock up on provisions. There's a cute souvenir market nearby and the marina is really pretty.
The staff is great (thanks for the upgrade!) and I'd stay there again if we needed to be in the area. It's definitely helpful to have a car! All in all; a wonderful experience - especially if you are low maintenance and want to actually hang out with Mexicans having a blast while in Mexico. ¡Viva Villa Varadero!
Great affordable hotel on the beach for families with children

If you are looking for a hotel that caters to Mexican families with children, then look no further. Lots to do for kids with games every afternoon at the beach and nightly entertainment. The beach is the best part which has a very gentle slope to the ocean which makes it ideal for kids and adults alike. The waves are calm enough to be safe for young ones and adults too. The hotel is clean, safe with very accommodating and friendly staff. There are three pools, right up to the hotel. As well, the hotel is remodeling and there are now four towers, the fourth being the newest. If you are an adult looking for peace & quiet then this is not the place for you. There are lots of great restaurants in the area and a wonderful marina to stroll and take tours of all kinds. Nice area to consider.

Reasonably priced, nice included breakfast, by the ocean. Unfortunately, the rooms in the older buildings by the ocean (tower 1, 2, 3) are dated and have no balcony despite some facing the ocean. The newer building (tower 4) has nice rooms including some with kitchenette, but they have no view. Also, the newer building has awful live music from 8-11 PM that permeates to the upper floors that is very annoying. I guess the locals like it, but it's all in Spanish and they are not very good singers.
Best trip ever!

I was seriously nervous about this place, after reading all of the reviews, I'm so happy my friend and I chose it! People complained about Mexican families (it is Mexico and these people are amazing.) Yep, it's noisy, there are a lot of kids, nope, not a 5 star. nope, no beach service (get up off your butt and get your own.) Drinks are small, bring your own cup, some employees don't speak English well, it works (if you don't like it, learn some Spanish.) My friend and I had the best 2 week vacation EVER! Hugo, 2 of them, 1 a server, 1 a bartender AMAZING! Leo, bartender, amazing at well. Daniel, a young server, also very friendly and accommodating. To all of the people who complain about little things, oh my God, get over it! For what you pay here and having allinclucive, stop the insults. We've already decided, WE ARE COMING BACK NEXT YEAR!
