Perfect Yosemite vibe
We visited here in the off season. The inn was not very crowded and there was not much staff around, but we were treated as well as if the entire crew were there. Our room was large, clean, and comfortable. Breakfast was plentiful and quite good. Travel to Yosemite is easy, and gives chance for a quick stop at the Redwood Grove on the way. The town of Oakhurst is nice too.
It was alright, not horrible
We had asked the lady at the front desk if there was an elevator to go to the second floor. She said yes and told us where to walk. When we went to the location she told us to, we ended up at a door that led to the building and then there were stairs. We had a stroller for the baby and we ended up having to carry all our stuff up the stairs and in two or three trips. Not fun. In the morning there was a very loud noise that sounded like someone drilling something. Although we were awake and getting ready for the day, the sound was annoying. The continental breakfast was reasonable. Something to put in our stomach and not be hungry while we got ready for the day. The room was clean and I liked the flooring in the room which appeared to look like a laminate wood maybe.
Great stop but...
Towels are SCRATCHY!! Soap dispenser for shower gel is empty! Room is great. Let's just snap out a couple of details and I would give 5 stars..... kitchenette in room is appreciated....view is incredible....
Not satisfied with it
I couldn’t connect to the WiFi (my boyfriend could for some time, then he also couldn’t connect) and we contacted the desk, where he said that everything is working. No, it didn’t. The toilet in our room was not flushing in the morning and the sink was stuck with water. While showering I think I woke up the neighbors, because my shower was making very high pitch sounds. The breakfast was ok, the usual juice, coffee, the toaster was working (one of it) and a variety of cornflakes. The receptionist definitely is not pleasant. So far the worst hotel on my road trip
Grungy, stingy!
This hotel had a common theme across the board - low-key grunge! Our room smelt funky, like wet carpet not thoroughly dried. The coffee maker was broken. The sink smelt like there was something rotting in the pipes. The breakfast was desultory, some tired toast, and cereal. That was their 'Continental Breakfast'. With a strict note which ordered patrons to not take any food for eating later, this was breakfast ONLY! Like someone would try to smuggle out a pocketful of cereal! Way too expensive, sad looking, sketchy property.
