This business hotel sits in the heart of the historic city centre, just a 5-minute walk from both Santo Domingo Cathedral and the Zócalo city square. Because of its excellent location guests will be within walking distance of banks, churches, museums, markets, transport links and in particular the city's key tourist spots. The nearest bus station can be accessed in approximately 15 minutes on foot. The colonial style or the venue is amplified by its traditional decoration in order to create a truly welcoming atmosphere. Hotel has a perfect location 5 min walk to Zocalo. Mercado 20 is couple streets down. There is a convinience store right at the corner. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Pool is perfect size for kids. They have complementary infused water during day/night and during morning they have coffee and hot chocolate. The included breakfast is worth it !!! Rooms are not too big but perfect size for a place to sleep and we were out all day exploring. I do recommend hotel: Clean Good for Family EXCELLENT location Nice staff GOOD price compare to other Hotels Pool good size for kids

This hotel has a great location. It's from only 3 blocks away from Zocalo, the main square of the city. All the staffs were very friendly and the breakfast was really good. The room where I stayed was nice as well. However, rooms can be a little dark depending on the location. Mine was the room with a balcony but it didn't seem like bright so I had to keep the light on inside. Maybe the long trees and plants around the pool on the inside garden are blocking the light from outside. Another thing you have to keep in mind is the refrigerator. There is no fridge in the room so it's not a good idea buying drinks too early. I remember that the hotel staff could keep your drinks in the fridge by the front desk but I'm not 100% sure. Also, using a remote control for TV can be a little tricky because the power is separated between the TV one and the receiver one. If you have no idea how to turn them on, ask the staff. The hotel has a restaurant on the second floor(U.S. second floor) but these days it closes at 10 p.m.. You have to act fast if you want to have dinner in the restaurant.

We had an amazing day. They were very polite and clean hotel. If you are driving your car is safe in there parking lot. Near restaurants and everything to see. There coffee is wonderful, I regret not buying more coffee grounds. The only thing they need to remodel is there bathrooms a little to small especially the showers. Other than that very clean. Enjoyed my stayed. Include breakfast in your stay food is delicious

Oaxaca Real is a good hotel but if you don't like dark rooms with no view of the sunlight you need to ask for a room overlooking the patio with clear exterior view. Some rooms are dark without exterior views. if you do not specify you may end up with a small room without a view of the exterior Everything else was fine. I enjoyed it.
Great location and good hotel

This hotel is in a great location. It’s about 3 streets from The Zócalo which is the main plaza of the city. The Zócalo is energetic with food, people, music, and so on. With all this energy so close it was wonderful to retreat to this quiet hotel and escape. The staff is friendly and courteous. Excellent water pressure and plenty of hot water!!! There is a rooftop restaurant... breakfast is ok but there are so many options to eat from in Oaxaca. The room I stayed in was on the second floor (U.S.) or 1st floor (MX)..depends where you come from. I overlooked the pool/courtyard... lovely. There are French styles doors that open up but keep in mind... if people are chatting below or children having an exciting time in the pool...voices and laughters carry. Once the doors are closed though and ceiling fan is on with the AC, it’s a very quiet room.
