Love the place but it had terrible breakfast

This place is gorgeous and everything about it is amazing, the only terrible thing is the breakfast. But there is a restaurant next door that is your go to. Also even though they have a beautiful terrace you can’t sit and enjoy outside food, bummer.
Do no visit - my things went missing

I stayed here just a few days ago and the stay was awful. The worst is that I got back home and realized my $300 Bose headphones had gone missing from my bag I stored at the hotel after checkout. The website has no real way for me to contact someone so that has been a disaster. Even before that my friends and I had problem after problem here. They say they provide transportation, but it’s never available and only for things that are close, and they will only drop you off. The drinks at the pool legitimately take over an hour to be dropped off even when there are only 3-4 people at the pool. My friend waited over an hour for a beer. The bartender just doesn’t seem interested in actually making drinks and said she couldn’t possibly figure out a mimosa…. We asked the front desk when we checked in if we could check in earlier and for help to get to a tour. The lady proceeded to not help at all with us figuring out how to get to the tour and said she could do check in for us at 3:15. Regular check in is at 3. My friend also had to do some work while there and had continuous problems with the wifi. We also paid extra for 3 people in a room with 2 beds but always had to ask for more towels, water, etc. because they never took into account 3 people in the room. The service was absolutely lacking and I am very upset my expensive headphones have been taken from my luggage and I can’t get any response from the hotel. DO NOT STAY HERE.

The hotel was almost perfect. The neighborhood and local cafes were fantastic. The turist area and downtown was an easy 15 minute walk in a safe neighborhood. Check-in and check-out was smooth and easy. The staff was amazing, going out of their way to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. They even had local shuttle service(book in advance) and cool bikes to use free of charge.Roof top pool, the great service and beer selection(wine could be better) and warm temp was idea after a long day of hitting the town. One of my favorite parts of the day. However, the continental breakfast needs some revamping. During my first morning, I was told I could only 2 cups of coffee? WHAT? It's coffee, not Mezcal. But, I could stuff my face with unlimited amount of bread, juice, and and milk. All I want is coffee folks, mind you, your coffee wasn't great, but to limit customers to 2 cups is ridiculous. So I told my waitress, "Well, there's 10 in my part, does that mean you owe me 20 cups?" She laughed, and told me ok, I got you next time. I never went to the breakfast again. Instead I ventured into the local cafes, which offered better food and beverages at more reasonable prices. The pool was great, except for the 8pm closing hour. During Summer it should be 10pm, I'm on vacation, give me a break. The deck in the pool needs some maintenance some of the planks were lifted and the filter was loose. The rooms were decent size, but could use more ventilation. And finally, water. A hotel of this quality should have purified water and or water bottles easily available. Overall, the hotel was above average. I would definitely stay there again.

It is memorable in a major way because of its location - in a quaint well preserved and managed barrio with its centuries old church and cobbled streets. It could be magical at night when it cools down and the locals sit around the tiny church plaza right in front of the hotel buying elote from the daily vendor. The coffee shops around the hotel contributes to the atmosphere of conviviality. The hotel interiors are tasteful and its modernity creates the perfect balance to the antiquity of its location. Well done!

What a beautifully decorated pink hotel. The room was a dark pink, not a bright pink like as shown in the photos. Your window will face an interior courtyard to other hotel windows. There was no fridge in the room but they did provide bottled water. The a/c was not on in the room when I arrived but after turning it on it quickly cooled down the room. The bed was very hard. The safe in my room didn't work. When I checked in at night I was left to my own devices to find the elevator which is not next to the reception. For such a high end hotel I expected the reception to speak excellent English but they did not. I had difficulty communicating with them. Your key to the elevator shuts off at noon on your check out day. Breakfast is advertised for 7am but is not actually ready until 7:30am. Yet at 7am they are mopping the floor which makes it wet and easy to slip on. That should be done at night when they are closing. There were dirty plates and serving thongs at the breakfast buffet, they are not inspecting each item before putting it out. The eggs had bacon in it and them and then sausages next to it. Why do you need pork twice? Leave the eggs without meat so vegetarians can eat them. It's 50 degrees in the morning and evenings so you can't use the pool. There's cameras everywhere. Also saw rat traps in the central courtyard. It's a 20 min walk to the zocalo but you walk through a pretty colorful neighborhood.
