Room 319

Reviewed 25 september, 2022

So I will state, I only travel the Hilton for personal use every once in a while. Staff is always fantastic - I appreciate them and give them a 10. However, I will echo other reviews, I think they are overworked. When I was checked in and sent it to my room… I walked in after having to put my full body weight into the door. If you also are disabled but can’t book a disable room, don’t expect it to be easy. Good thing I am a hefty gal, using a walker and cane, it helped getting the door open to begin heading over to the balcony. I quickly realized the balcony door for 319 does not lock so as a solo gal - red flag. Also realized, there was a pile of toenail clippings next to the door I just stepped in. I headed back down to the lobby and listened to the girl telling another gentleman that they are short on staff, so cleaning service is slow and overworked. I proceeded to throw the toenail clippings over the balcony, so so sorry Hilton please don’t be mad. Noticed my new favorite hobby of the trip - closing the top drawer in the dresser. It wasn’t going to get put to use because I don’t use the dresser, but would not shut, so I could not get my walker through. But it was a fun game to play. After the initial few moments of grime and realizing I’d need to steel myself to powering into and out of the room… it was a beach hotel and I won’t even review the door to the pool. Even my weight couldn’t move some days. I loved the team and didn’t want to get them in trouble. Especially since the elevator and lobby had no ac for them the whole Tuesday to Saturday. It was wild. Hot girl summer… it’s hot girl Hilton. I will recommend of course but just be prepared for the non ada compliance and single gal issues. First review ever so sorry if it’s not correct.

Overall pleasant stay.

Had a pleasant stay. Staff overall friendly and helpful. Maintenance staff quickly resolved an issue with the tub. Breakfast could use some work. Food was not very good. Room was clean. Bed was ok, sheets could fit better. Beautiful view of the bay from the balcony. All in all another good stay but the hotel is showing it’s age.

Great Hotel and staff

Reviewed 21 september, 2022

I just wanted to let you know of the awesome job Dominique has been doing while working the front desk. She had some wonderful recommendations for me on things to do and places to go/eat while I was staying here for work. I do not know if texting at the front desk is a new thing Hampton Inn & Suites is doing or if it is something you have been doing from this location for a while, but don't stop. That has been a wonderful way to find out more things about the area while being out, away from the hotel. Tonight in particular was above and beyond. First I asked to break and $20 for bus fare and then for Dominique's opinion about taking the bus. She was fair with her assessment saying it was reliable, could get a little crowded but a good way to get down to the boardwalk and back. Second, I asked about going to Pickle's Pub and she said it was a great spot and was somewhere she might go hangout after work. Feeling confident about my choices I made my way to the bus spot right outside the hotel. This is when things start to go above and beyond. When I arrived at Pickle's, they were closed for a staff appreciation night. Not having anyone else to contact, I went to the text thread that had been established when I first checked in. Mentioning that Pickle's was closed for the staff night I asked if there was anywhere else I could go close by. Walking down the boardwalk already, I saw 4th Taphouse, an establishment that has a location just up the street from the hotel. I knew that if all else failed I could go there. Dominique to the rescue. She suggested 4th Street Taphouse but also knew of Shenanigan's Irish Pub saying she had a great time the last time she went there. Dominique was not wrong. It was the perfect place to grab a drink and something to eat. Too many emails are sent to management are about complaints or something terribly wrong. This is not one of those. The staff here at Hampton Inn & Suites Ocean City/Bayfront-Convention Center has been some of the best. I am only a silver Hilton Honors member but they have treated me like a Diamond. Thank you so much and be sure to please, let Dominique know her help was immensely helpful and greatly appreciated.

Best hotel in Ocean City, MD!

Loved this hotel! We had a wonderfully relaxing vacation. This hotel was centrally located, making it easy to go to the beach or go to dinner. The room was amazing, and so was the staff. We will be back!!

No amenities as advertised!

Reviewed 10 september, 2022

We stayed her the weekend after Labor Day. Disappointment all around. It looks like a great hotel online but no outside tiki bar or hot tub. I reserved this hotel based on these amenities. Super disappointed! I can’t understand how the cost of the outside hot tub would be disabled by September 8th. Won’t come back here in off season or ever! Who knows maybe the bar and hot tub are always closed. Still paid a hefty price tag for off season $300 plus per night with no amenities!! I am a Diamond meme er and love Hampton but this place is definitely off my list!!
