Holiday Inn Oceanside is a wonderful hotel. We've stayed there several times, and every visit has been perfect! The hotel is quiet and clean. The rooms are comfortable, clean and spacious. The beds and pillows are comfortable, as well. Black out shades, a refrigerator, microwave, workout room, laundry facilities, pool, free and convenient on site parking are just a few of its many amenities. Customer service is exceptional. The staff are warm and personable, considerate and accommodating.

We paid for a room that included breakfast for 3 adults and was about $250 for the night. Wrong! The breakfast is only a select few items and they will only cover 2 meals even though our room is for 3 adults. It also doesn’t include drinks🤣🤣🤣 They charge all that extra money and the breakfast they include consist of 2 French toast and a few pancakes! Otherwise the room was ok, a bit raggedy, wall siding was peeling a bit for the price they are charging. I’ve stayed at way better hotels and for the price I’m sure some of the cheaper motels next to it would be sufficient

Decent stay but bad customer service

We had reserved 2 nights but didn’t get there til late the the day after we were supposed to arrive. When we checked in the lady said she was only going to charge for one night since we arrived late and wasn’t going to charge for the other night. The next day when we checked out we saw that they double charged us.I called and they said that she was wrong and they were going to charge. I don’t know if I’ll stay there again due to being told one thing and then they charged us again. It was very expensive and could have stayed at a nicer hotel for the price.

Upon check in I was greeted by a surly lady who didn’t seem to be very interactive and very monotone. Not what you expect when you’ve travelled all day from the UK. Bear minimum of interaction. Not even a remark about being a platinum member or any acknowledgement. In fact still waiting for my welcome points to be credited. She said they would be done on check out. Not had that before and 6 days later still waiting. On check in I presented my card which she said was declined I tried again numerous times and she just said ‘NOT AUTHORISED’ very robotically . After the forth attempt. Tried a different card which she used the same monotoned reply. Then I said I think it’s your machine not my cards. Another guest had the same issue while she looked miserable and didn’t communicate with me. Alas it was a system fault but no apology. Took my id and credit card and photocopied it without returning it to me. I had to ask all the questions about the facilities breakfast times and pool area. Very slack and not a great experience. I think this hotel has got complacent. Good points are the rooms are big if dated and free parking. The maintaince guy was really helpful and polite. Maybe he should train the front desk staff !!!

We had a great time the staff was wonderful the check in and was excellent. Wouldn’t go anywhere else. There’s many other places I could had gone to the staff was not very friendly specially the days inn next door. Needless to say we made the right choice to stay here for three days. Looking forward to our next trip soon.
