More about the hotel
One night in Cincinnati
We were driving from NY to Louisiana and stayed for a night in Cincinnati. The hotel looked nice from the outside. The staff at the reception was very welcoming, helpful and professional. The the hotel and so the room was very clean and i loved the interior. Staff in general ( housekeeping ) was friendly and helpful when i had a question. Location is great. It was close to many restaurants and to downtown. Definitely a hotel i would recommend everyone and stay again.
Masks not required!
The room was clean enough, the non-King’s Island season rate was good, and it is convenient - but there was no signage requiring masks inside, and when a maskless staff member was asked if they required them, he rolled his eyes and so no. As numbers are climbing, this lack of policy seems very short-sighted - doesn’t make you feel very safe.
Filthy!! Something has definitely changed since 2018
This WAS our go- to stop for a driving break on our way to Nashville TN. Stayed in 2018 was clean and safe. Fast Forward to Oct 2020( unfortunately, during Covid-19) the hallways now wreak of smoke and weed. Gross! Ohio mandates masks in public places but yet the late afternoon evening staff blatantly disregards- If you don’t care enough about your patrons You don’t deserve our business! Which is why we left at the hotel at 12:35 am Upon finding a little friend On our bed see photo, lovely...Filthy ass sheets in the middle of COVID-19! No masks, no cleanliness, No business To the owners of this hotel : you need to reassess your business practices or maybe housecleaning of staff and definitely your hotel
What a pleasant surprise!
Stayed here for one night while going to Kings Island. I had planned on staying at the Hampton Inn closer to the park, but when double checking the location on Google maps, I found this RRI and decided to check the rates and reviews. It was $20 cheaper than the Hampton, and the reviews were great! Even with the good reviews, I had some reservations about this place since it's still a budget hotel, but it did not disappoint. There is a clean outdoor pool. Across the parking lot is Fricker's restaurant which i highly recommend. Also within walking distance is another bar & grille type place, but they weren't offering dine-in at the time of my visit due to COVID. Across the street is Frisch's Big Boy, which is where we got breakfast. Very inexpensive place for food. There were no breakfast offerings at the hotel due to Covid, but I don't ever depend on that. Check-in was a breeze, and the mini fridge in the room was ice cold! The shower head in the bathroom had different settings; it was very nice. My only complaint is the door in the bathroom/toilet area. It opens inward towards the toilet, and it bumps into the toilet if you try to fully open it. In fact, you can't fully open it because of the toilet. Very odd setup. All in all, we loved our stay here, and it ended up being the nicest hotel out of the 3 total we stayed at in a 4-day trip to Kings Island and Cedar Point. I will definitely stay here again when in the area. Perfect location - only 10 minutes from Kings Island, and lots of food and shopping venues nearby (we passed a Target and Old Navy, and I think a Walmart on the way to the park, plus many others). Super easy off and back on the highway; hotel located about 1/2 mile from Interstate, but still quiet. The hallways do smell like cigarette smoke, but nothing major.
Best Kept Secret in Cincinnati!
I'm a software architect/developer, and I'm on the road approximately 50 each year, so I stay in a lot of hotels. I took a project with a company in Cincinnati, OH and this Red Roof Inn was the nearest hotel to the location where I was going to work. Staying at this Red Roof Inn has proved to be one of the best decisions I have made in a long time. The hotel is modern, and has all the facilities and amenities I desired, including a poo. The rooms are spacious and well appointed. The bed is extremely comfortable, and the floors are hard wood and tile, not carpet. I have a king sized bed, a really nice sized desk, and plenty of high speed, WiFi connections. My bathroom is huge, with plenty of hot water, and i have a large screen television, great coffee maker, a refrigerator, and microwave. The front desk staff is amazing, especially Sonny, Angel, and Nav. The cleaning staff is wonderful and keeps my room spotless. The rates or extremely good, and this hotel is close to just about every store and restaurant you could desire, as well as just a few miles from Kings Island. Even with the economical rates, the hotel serves a continental breakfast every morning. If you are going to stay in Cincinnati, this is the place you want to be.
