Mas Pineda

If you are looking for a place to detox from the various pollutions of the world (noise, light, air, and so-called fake news), Mas Pineda is just what you are looking for. Without the light pollution of big cities, it actually gets dark enough at night that you can see the sky filled with stars. It is so quiet that you can hear the sounds of the earth. After four nights at Mas Pineda, I felt as though my soul had been restored. Laia was a wonderful hostess. She made lovely breakfasts and suppers for us. Be sure to plan ahead with her before you arrive if you would like her to prepare an evening meal for you, as she will need time to plan and to get the proper groceries. Getting to town from Mas Pineda is a bit of a drive, but it is well worth it to spend time in this peaceful setting. We delighted in watching the sheep graze their way up the hill in the evenings and listening to the rooster crowing in the mornings. Thank you, Laia, for a wonderful stay.

If you have the opportunity to stay here, absolutely do so! It is a "best-kept secret", but I suspect won't be for long. It is quite a bit rural, but the setting is simply gorgeous - so peaceful, with all you could want from nature right outside your door. The large property offers plenty of opportunities to explore, escape and enjoy your surroundings. Your hosts, Laia and Luis, are everything you would expect and more - incredibly gracious, welcoming, friendly etc. The house itself is beautiful and has so much character, not to mention impeccably clean with all the amenities you may need during your stay. Breakfast every morning was delicious and local. We were lucky enough to also have dinner one night and it was just as enjoyable. I can't recommend Mas Pina enough! We opted to spend a few days here, before our main trip to Barcelona for a wedding, and it was absolutely worth it.

We went to relax in the Pyrenees and visited Mas Pineda. It is a stunning beautiful place and Laia and Lluis are perfect hosts. The property, the location and the hosts Laia and Luis were excellent and in fact hospitality personified. Extremely friendly couple. We traveled as a family and this place and the hosts gave us the complete feeling of Home away from Home feeling. Laia and Luis made sure all our requests were honored and took extra attention to make our little Son feel comfortable, they even ensured customized breakfast and dinner for us. There is also a play room for babies and kinds with a decent collection of books and toys. The outdoor fridge and bar concept was amazing and in a perfect setting which I found extremely charming. In addition, this place is great base if you are keen on Hiking as well as mountain biking.

Mas Pineda is a real gem, if you want to experience true rural Catalunya there is no better place. The building itself has a huge amount of character with the perfect balance of traditional rural Catalan architecture and modern comforts whilst being in one of the most stunningly beautiful places you could visit. The location is perfectly situated to visit wonderful local towns, dormant volcanoes and go hiking or cycling in the area. Laia and Lluis are fabulous hosts and immediately made us feel right home. They have created an ecologically friendly paradise in which you feel part of during your stay. If they offer to show you round the building and estate, take the opportunity as the history of the place alone itself is well worth the visit. The rooms, food, beds, view and hospitality are all outstanding and it was a real pleasure spending our time here. I couldn't recommend this accommodation higher!
