One night in the Basque Country
Very nice hotel. A very well designed mix of old and new, the rooms are in the 12th Century tower and the restaurant is in the modern extension. Comfortable, spacious room with lovely views, excellent bathroom. Convenient for the Bilbao ferry, an easy one hour drive.
What a find!!
Stayed for 3 nights for a business trip. I arrived well after midnight after a flight delay but there was someone to check me in as they had been monitoring the delay and had stayed up specially. The room was beautiful with great views over Onati and many period features. The room was large, beautifully furnished and well equipped. The food in the restaurant is excellent with several choices of set menu featuring local dishes and wine at very reasonable prices. Service is prompt, efficient and friendly across all of the hotel. All in all an excellent hotel. My one complaint.....the road up to the hotel from the town. If you have driven up there you will know why!!
Excellent hotel
We stayed here for one night on the way back to the UK. The hotel is up at the top of a hill which is quite a challenging drive but well worth it. It’s an excellent hotel with plenty of parking and the staff were great! The food in the restaurant is also very good indeed, I had the steak which was sublime. The hotel itself is set with beautiful views out across the local area and there’s decent outdoor seating so you can enjoy the tranquility. The service we received was excellent from start to finish, we have decided we need to go back to this hotel and the town in future for a stand alone holiday. An awesome stay that was far too short. Based on this experience I would certainly recommend a stay.

Excellent in every way: rooms in perfect condition, restaurant with great food and service and personnel extremely helpful!! Besides that the view from the hotel over Oñati is unbelievable!! Would definitely go back!

Although rated as a three-star hotel, this is one of the best hotels we have been to. An excellent hotel. Great rooms with amazing views. Staff was extremely helpful! Special thanks to Edurne!!!!!!!!!
