Filthiest hotel I have ever stayed at!

Honestly for this to be a Marriott entity, I am liter speechless! Speechless doesn’t even begin to explain it, but read on. I stayed here for a little over 3 weeks recently for work purposes. When I travel, I always stay with Marriott since 1999 when I worked for them. They were a good employer and I always feel taken care of at their properties. Until I met Element, Ontario! Oowee!! Before I buy a new item, I always check major sites like Amazon so I can get unbiased reviews on the item. Before I stay at a new location I check Yelp, hotels.com, and trip advisor. The reviews were staggering and I thought, surely these customers might have misunderstood?? After all, it’s a Marriott!! Boy oh boy, was I WRONG!! The previous reviewers were spot on! I am flabbergasted at how real and true these reviews were, and how even MONTHS after some of the reviews the management hasn’t been bothered to attend to these concerns! They continue like it’s the norm. I need to reach out to corporate and inquire if these are their new standards, if so, boy are we in for it!!!
Towards the end of of my stay, my reservation was extended by my company at least 13 days in advance. Turns out when the extension was done, this establishment instead entered it as a new reservation. Whatever. It happens. On the morning of my supposed-to-be last day, I passed by reception and inquired if they knew I was staying on. That’s when I found out about the new separate reservation. I was told I was placed in a smaller room. I informed them that I wish to stay put because I had food in the fridge and I needed the stovetop as well as previously requested by my company. I was told it would be adjusted, no problem. I asked if there was anything else I needed to do because I was leaving for Disney Land for the day and didn’t want the hassle upon my return,after roaming the park all day. I was assured that all would be well.
Ok, I returned a bit earlier with my child, tired as expected from the activities of the day. I get to my room and I am LOCKED OUT! Frustrated, I head back downstairs with all my cargo and child in tow. There was an Asian gentleman at the desk. I asked him what was going on especially after I had taken time out that morning to square things out. He tells me I was locked out because “they needed my new credit card “ for the new reservation! Mind you, not to pay for the stay because that was all paid over 2 weeks ago, nooo, for incidentals! I asked him #1, why wasn’t I told this before? #2, it’s the same credit card for the same person in the same room! Why didn’t they keep as is and follow up with me if need be? #3, the stay was guaranteed on a corporate card, did they try reaching my travel group? He just shrugged and said he wasn’t there that morning so he couldn’t answer me! In other words, “not my problem “! Once they reactivated my keycard, I get to my room and don’t you know they HAD NOT CLEANED it???! They were more concerned about getting my credit card rather than ensuring I get what I was paying for! Wow! Just wow! The rooms were filthy! Don’t take my word for it, see attached pictures. ‘House keeping’ means change your sheets, give you new towels ,and take out your trash. Like I previously stated, I travel a lot. Internationally as well. And my first choice is always a Marriott. I have stayed in other hotels when they didn’t have a Marriott closeby. I have to say that in all my travels I am yet to see such filth and disregard! Marriott Bonvoy should take notice if they care about their brand. This is…sad. I got an email the day after my supposed checkout/lockout, asking how I enjoyed my stay! 😂😂😂 Really?? Well, here’s how I enjoyed the stay Mr. Manager. Do with this as you wish. Buyer beware. For $180+ a night, this is RIDICULOUS! Pics attached

I stay at this property every weekend. My wife loves it. The baby loves it. And YES!! I LOVE THIS HOTEL. It is brand new hotel. Great price. Friendly service. Front desk lady was friendly. I think her name was Jackie. Great personality. Oo yeah and SMILE!! So yes!! Everything was great!!

The front desk staff, Jackie, and the housekeeper, another Jackie, are very friendly and helpful. The gym is well equipped.
We stayed in an executive room where it is by the corner. The room is spacious for 2 individuals and a service dog. The Westin Heavenly queen size bed is very comfortable.
We did not do anything but stayed in our room the whole day for a getaway. The room served that purpose very well.
#1 hotel in Ontario, don't waste time looking elsewhere

This is one of those reviews I can't wait to write, when you get a five star surprise at a new brand, and new hotel. The only reason Element isn't ranking #1 for Ontario, is that it's new, and only has 7 reviews. The sole negative review below is from someone who either doesn't know hotels, or has a grudge, always a red flag when reviewer has ONE review. Anyway, this hotel has it all, basic rooms are truly great, suites even better, and while I didn't stay in it, they have an insanely great 4 bedroom "commons" suite that has no peer for business or family guests anywhere in Ontario. Great gym, pool, outside area, lobby, and of course, most important, an awesome staff down to the last person, this only happens when there is a strong general manager like Mr. Yong clearly is. Asst GM Jackie is amazing, same for whole front desk team, Camelia, Estefani, Jose, Marcus, Oodil, and Jefferey. Also, SUPER Covid safe. Can't wait to return.
