couple trip
There were people not wearing masks inside. No plug for tub. The rooms smell. The water took very long to get hot. The hotel needs to be updated. We did not have any other choice but to stay here. It was a last minute decision. Will not come again. Slow service in the restaurant.
What a dump
Should have read the reviews. The pictures are very misleading. Carpet is filthy, walls are pealing, room is dark. Door to the hallway is little more than a bathroom door. Hallway reeks of cigarette smoke. Only had 1 towel in the bathroom for a room that can hold 4 people. When I asked for more towels the response I got was "I will see if I can find any". bottom line DON'T STAY HERE
"Bates Motel" reincarnated
Well first of all I should of read the trip advisor reviews so I blame myself somewhat. just stayed there 4 nights because we couldn't get a room in Kirkland Lake for the 100 yr celebrations. The reviews are right.Straight out of the movie - "didn't dare have a shower !!!". Couldn't find the staff or they didn't answer the in house phone. Only responded when we called long distance on our cells !!. The photos on the internet are not realistic. Patio table outside the complex consists of barn wood planks ( very rustic ). Hallways smell of years of smoking. Shower didn't work ( not that I'd take one here). Prices ridiculous for this place. Couldn't even recommend this place to a bunch of Arkansas Hillbillies on a hunting trip with their hounds. BUYER BEWARE
HOTEL HELL
this hotel was hotel hell . We drank the water but filled a water bottle to take with us as it settled the water turned brown and had flecks in it. There was no hot water , no directory in the room . Resteraunt was closed , all the hall way had doors open and the doors where house hold bedroom doors with a bedroom door lock on it , could be easily kicked in . The pillows could be folded into 4 , they were that thin and when asked for pillows they supplied 4 more very flat what they called pillows with no slips on them , just the pillow cases. The sheets did not fit the bed and we woke with the sheets off the bed and it smelled musty with water stains on the walls and ceilings. The tv was very small but updated , had a phone in the room. No ice, coffee machine, nor hair dryer. The pictures on site are no way how the place looks and there are no safety factors as any one could have walked into and taken a room stayed the night and no surveliance to know .
Worst Night Of My Life
My fiancé and I ended up staying the night here as we were traveling for a funeral. If It wasn’t so cold outside and I wasn’t four months pregnant we would have slept in our car. The manger Jesus was born in cleaner than this place. As a former employee of a hotel in a major city in Ontario I am absolutely appalled at the condition of this motel. It was not hard to find many, many, many things wrong in our room. As soon as we went into the bathroom we could see pubic hair on the side of the bathtub. There is soap scum on the shower walls and soap residue very visible in the sink. There were brownish marks in the sink which may or may not have been blood. The didn’t clean the microwave. There was some sort of animal crap on the one bed in our room. Both beds were covered in animal hair of some sort. There was some white fluid crusted to the floor behind one of the beds. The floors were visibly dirty. I have never felt so dirty in my entire life. I feel like I need to bathe in bleach. I wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy. Not to mention the couldn’t be bothered to use fitted sheets. They threw two flat sheets on instead. They are supposed to have mattress and pillow protectors and they have none. This place is a scam and the owner should be ashamed to be selling rooms like this. $100 to have paranoia and anxiety that we have been contaminated by this filth. 🤮
