Lots to offer

ZMR is on a lovely property a short drive to Zion NP. We had a sweet cabin with a living area &bedroom with breathtaking views.
Pros: location, relaxed vibe. Great for families with horses, rabbits, chickens and a fire pit for making s’mores. A wonderful place to kick back after a day of hiking and enjoy the sunset. Go for dinner at their restaurant ( delicious burgers & great beer list) but skip the breakfast buffet. The wait staff were friendly & helpful
Cons: the old tvs with VHS & DVD capabilities should be pitched and the worn out sofas replaced.
Some minor upkeep could make this a 5 star stay.
Perfect ranch cabin near Zion and Bryce

Gorgeous ranch with sweet cabins. Ours had a large soaking tub to relax in after a day in one of the parks. The ranch has a restaurant featuring their own produce, bison meats and fish from the ranch. Gift shop is nice and has high end bath products and souvenirs. There are horses, Buffalo, mini horses, rabbits, a fire pit, pond, geese , gardens and a greenhouse that is sometimes open for dining. Great place for kids and adults alike! There is no tv, signal but they do have wifi. Views from the cabins are really nice and include the east entrance to Zion in the distance. Cabins are clean and well appointed. Loved our stay!
Did not live up to expectations

I was disappointed with our experience at Zion Mountain Ranch (ZMR). The room heater made so much noise we had to turn it off. When the heater ran, it gave off a foul smell that did not subside. We decided it was better not to ryn the heater. Unfortunately, the temperature in the unit dropped to the low 60's making it uncomfortable. The TV did not work. Wifi was not available. The seal on the front door was not flush with the door frame so we could see the outside. The opening was large enough mice could make their way into the unit.
No bison this time around!

This is our second stay. The first time we stayed was October 2020. We had loved our stay last year so we booked again hoping for the same experience. However, we did not get the same experience this time. There were no bison in the main pasture, we were told that it’s mating season and the bison have broken several sections of the fence. However we did not see any broken sections of fence. Last October it was mating season and the bison free-roamed around the range and even walked by our cabin. This was THE reason we stayed at this ranch a second time. Also this year I was not allowed to take a wine out of the restaurant to the fire pit like I was last October. I was told by restaurant staff that I would have to consume my wine in the restaurant, which is not what I wanted to do as last year I was able to drink it by the fire. I understand where they come from but I was expecting to be able to drink a wine by the fire pit. One other suggestion would be to build a shelter for the horses when it’s sunny/hot, raining or snowing. Other than these items, we did enjoy our stay. The reception staff were helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. The Great Pyrenees dogs are still awesome, and the location is so peaceful.

While the website leaves much unanswered,, this property is beautiful and our cabin had everything we needed. The views are phenomenal. Restaurant is delicious and picturesque. We found it nice to stay in East Zion because we were able to get away from the Zion crowds and soak in rural views. Kid horseback riding was great. Chickens, rabbits, horses, bison, miniature horses, vegetable gardens…. Just a lovely place. We got groceries in Springdale at Sol Foods. They have everything you need albeit at a high price.
