The front desk attendent, at check-in, was very nice. The room however was not. The carpet looked rather worn, with loose threads and flat spots. The tile floor was sticky. The tile on the wall of the shower/tub looked to have mold in the grout. The shower curtain was about 6 inches too long. I kept standing on the curtain when I showered. The soap dish was installed on an angle, so the soap slides out onto the tub floor. The a/c was very noisy, but it drowned out the noice of the higway in back of our building. I should however, point out that we travel with a small dog, so we were given a "pet room" (6101), so those rooms may not represent the average room there. The rooms are only cleaned when requested, before 9am, which I actually liked, since we left the dog in the room alone. Would I stay there again? Not in that room for sure, most likely I will look for another place next time

From the online reviews and pictures I accepted better the to the room and complete disappointment. Housekeeping came and changed it and still stains everywhere. Just nasty. I would never go off pictures again.
No way remanding this motel. Old and nothing good

Extremely disappointed. No way I can recommend this Motel. Very old property. They just renovated and decorated it to look nice and new. No housekeeping service. When you are booking this motel they are not saying it but once you checked in they will let you know that limited to no house keeping service available. Lighting is so bad in the room that at night it is so hard to see your clothes in bag. If you need to find anything from your bag you need to use your mobile light. They don't have working camera in parking lot, I had incident with my car at night and they don't have anything. I choose this motel by reading reviews but looks like fake review now as no way anyone will recommend this rooms. Small, Old and Noisy fan bathroom. I wish i can give 0 Stars.
Dated, but inexpensive

This is an old and dated motel, with room doors that open to the outside. Rooms are a tight fit on the inside, and you can hear the highway noise through the walls.
Rooms are equipped with a coffee maker and a safe, but there is "limited" housekeeping, so you have to ask for service.
The "Partner Hotel" shuttle was disappointing. You have to make reservations in advance for one of the limited morning runs to the Park and they can fill up quickly. The Universal concierge is only open a few hours in the morning so you have to plan in advance. The return buses are even worse as there are only 3 in the afternoon and the lines for quick.
The location is about a 1-mile walk to Universal entrance with sidewalks and crosswalks on the way, so that is what we did most of the time.
The employees at the front desk were always friendly and helpful.

We stayed at this location for 3 nights. My room was facing the garden. Room was clean and beds were comfortable. That is my main thing when staying at hotels. I did see some gaps in the door, but not enough to be concerned about. I didn't have time to use the pool as we were mostly at the park and it was overcast anyways. Housekeeping brought us towels after we missed the morning rounds.
Jessica is the person who checked me in and she was fabulous! Universal had a last minute call off so nobody showed up to take shuttle reservations. She called a hotel nearby and asked if they would put us on their list to make sure we would have a seat reserved. We used the shuttle everyday to Universal. They have 3 pick up times in the morning and 2 pick up times in the evening. Only drawback to the shuttle is times stay the same even if park is open later. Free parking, could walk to the parks if needed, and budget friendly. Will definitely stay again if we are in the area.
