As nice as the resort is, it’s the hardest one to travel to and from, especially at the end of the night. It’s a long bus ride from the parks, except Animal Kingdom. Food was good in the restaurant, and it has a nice bar. The outside area with the animals is awesome.
Can I give this hotel more than 5 stars???

This was our first visit to Animal Kingdom Lodge. We are DVC owners at WL and we had booked 5 days at the end of our trip but we had to shorten it to 2 days as we are from Canada and my daughter wasnt able to return to school when we got back due to covid protocols. We checked in on a Saturday, it was rainy and miserable. We went out to one of the lookouts and talked to a very knowledgable cast member about the antelope. Then we went and had lunch at the Mara and by that time our room was ready. Of course my daughter wanted to swim (it was cold and rainy!!!) I only dipped my feet but she loved it and the cast members were playing Disney trivia so she had fun with that. We went over and enjoyed some hot tub time thou! Our room was on the 5th floor, safari view studio, It was a very good size (coming from WL it felt much bigger!). The lobby was absolutely GORGEOUS with the christmas decor up, I think I took a thousand photos from different angles! Our safari view was amazing, we had giraffe, zebra and antelope all the time. We sat out there a lot and watched the animals, unfortunately they weren't there when we had our morning coffee but the rest of the time they were! Gift shop was beautiful with a good selection of stuff, my daughter bought a drawing of her name with safari animals. The Pool at Jambo was pretty, nice that it has a beach entry, we weren't fans of the slide thou. We walked over to Kidani and preferred their pool and slide! We went to Hollywood Studios on our last day and by 1pm my daughter was ready to head back and enjoy the hotel as it was our last night, she's never asked to leave the park before. My husband and I were quick to agree and back we went to enjoy our safari view and the pool. The night before we left my husband and I were sitting on the patio having a drink and my husband says "When we buy more DVC points, I want them here". He's never actually committed to wanting more so I guess AKL really won him over!!
Loved the Resort and Kilimanjaro Club Lounge

We stayed for a girl's trip, me and my two daughters. My oldest is 22 and married and my youngest is 15. This resort is perfect for just about any trip, families, couples, friends or girls. We absolutely loved it and adding club level access is a must! We felt the value was amazing for what we got. The cast members were so very friendly in the Kilimanjaro Club Lounge. We will be back!
Great Anniversary Trip

With pushing from family, my husband and I chose to travel to Disney World for our 50th anniversary. We stayed in this amazing place and was delighted. Giraffe families and zebras sauntered outside our rooms. This grand hotel had many delightful African art pieces in the lobbies and throughout the halls. We ate on the 6th floor Club Level and honestly it was great. I would never want to do a Disney vacation again without it. The staff arranged for massages at other hotels, got on the right shuttles, plus made our stay relaxing and fun.

We booked Jambo house as a last minute trip after we had cancelled our stay at the Contemporary/GF due to covid restrictions being lifted in our state. I was able to book the value accomidations which I wasn't expecting anything grand, was pleasantly surprised at how nice the room was, it wasn't any smaller in my opinion than any other deluxe studio we've stayed in, we had a lovely view of the pool and we could see the animals beyond that, which my kids really enjoyed! The bed was comfy, kids thought the pull out sofa not so great but they managed just fine. The pool area was so calm and relaxing, we had several people from Kidani come over to use this pool as the other was much more crowded and loud. While not everything at Jambo was opened at the time we did grab breakfast a few mornings from the Mara and it was good, the wait times for the buses didn't seem any longer than they have ever been at any of the other resorts. We would definitley stay here again! We own at The Polynesian but we've talked about adding points here!
