Great location, wonderful food

Excellent location, superior rooms, great customer service, abd outstanding breakfast at Ale & Compass Restaurant.
After many years wanting to attend the Food & Wine Festival, we splurged for this resort and finished our trip in Epcot. Even getting to Hollywood Studios and Magic Kingdom by bus was easy the first two days. A water view room on 4th floor gave us bird's eye views of the fireworks shows. Balcony was decent sized.
Pool and lazy river was sandy, with sandy bottom, and certainly a nice concept. Slide is bumpy, though, so take caution with little ones who want to go over and over.
We had adjoining rooms which was a great benefit. Loads of closet and drawer space would make this resort a good long-term stay option. The room could sleep 5, but was perfect for 3.
Overall Very disappointed!

The positive - hotel and rooms looks are pretty good, 2 very available pools .
However very disappointed with the service, every other day housekeeping no garbage pick up no beds made! The room only has one very small fridge no microwave which is hard to understand since you mainly go to Disney for little kids, I had no way to make my baby bottles with any hot/warm water; all the restaurants around this resort needed reservation, no walk ins, the food at the inside market store was very limited. I suggest to bring thermos and small electric kettle to have hot water handy for babies and Go food shopping before arriving to the resort (snacks and water are so overpriced). Once inside Disney you feel like a prisioner, you cant go anywhere else to eat. Overall most of the dinner reservations I made , the food wasn't great at all! Very disappointed!
Don't believe the hype

The buses run at random. The app has a bus schedule but I got "times unavailable" except when the time shown was wrong. We were an hour or more late to every reservation we had at the parks because the bus schedule is abysmal. Impossible to plan anything when you cannot count on transportation. Buses and convenience were the reasons we chose to stay here. Neither was reliable.
You cannot get a cup of coffee in the morning unless you buy it or use the single Keurig cup machine in your room. Maybe I'm just used to my fancy Marriott hotels but for the price of this place nightly I dont expect to have to pay for a cup of coffee in the morning.
You cannot get a meal without making reservations at least a day in advance.
The park no longer delivers purchases to your room if you stay on a Disney property. They say It's because of COVID but that's a cop out. No one could tell me what COVID has to do with that. Yet another convenience we paid for that doesn't exist.
The entire experience of staying here just felt like we had paid a huge amount of money for the privilege of being squeezed for more once we were on site, including receiving an extremely unwelcome pitch for a Disney Vacation Club sales presentation.
I regret staying here. I've tried to communicate this to Disney but I don't have seven hours (not kidding) to wait for someone to take my call.
But at least I got ringworm from the pool, so I will always have that precious memory to keep forever.
One of the best at Disney!

Disney’s Yacht Club Resort is one of the best hotels at Disney. Located in the Boardwalk area for Epcot hotels, it is right outside the back gate of Epcot and very near Disney’s Skyliner. The Boardwalk area consists of the Boardwalk, Swan, Dolphin and the sister property, The Beach Club Resort. You can take a pleasant boat trip to Epcot (but it is easier to walk) and a boat or Skyliner to Disney Studios. You can also walk to Disney Studios along the waterway, but it can be a hot walk of over a mile. The location of the Yacht Club is great.
The amenities are some of the best at Disney. The Yacht Club shares probably the best pool at Disney with her sister resort, the Beach Club. The pool area is extraordinary. The pool is a series of pools and has a small lazy river to float upon. Some of the pools have a sandy bottom and a sandy beach area. It does get crowded during the hot weather months (most of the time).
There are several restaurants at the resort as well. And, like I already mentioned, Epcot, the Boardwalk, The Swan and Dolphin are out your back door for other restaurants and bars!
Being the Yacht Club, there is a strong nautical theme which I thought was well done. It does have a “club” feel to the place. It is quiet in my opinion for a Disney hotel in that it has small lobby and smaller public areas. This is a plus to me.
The rooms are well done. I believe they went through a recent refurbishment. I believe every room has a balcony. We found the service of the "cast members" to be excellent and were greeted at the front door upon arrival.
There are many “pros” and few “cons” to this place. I would say the only “con” would be the price, so if you find a good price, you are good to go.
Great- even with dogs!

We had a wonderful birthday staycation ! My 8 year old and our two dogs loved this place.
We have a dog in congestive heart failure so we did not want to board her. The dog friendly portion of the hotel was great - still very clean and very quiet.
The pool area is simply amazing. It’s the best hotel pool system at Disney by far. The lazy river is very relaxing and quite deep for a Disney pool. My now eight year old loved the water slide and Sandy bottom pool area.
The location of the hotel is great. Both Studios and Epcot are a short boat ride away.
