Great except for the toenail

We had a great stay at embassy suites. It was just a short one night trip and staff was kind and welcoming even as we had a late check in time. The complimentary breakfast is delicious! We have only one complaint. We found what appeared to be a toenail in our tv remote. We don’t blame the housekeepers as they must have not seen it while cleaning. Other wise a great place to stay near Disney World.
Rooms too old

Rooms too old and not well kept. Looks and feels as tho this place has not had any upgrades or renovations since the mid 1990s. Room had a smell, pull out mattress was dirty, luggage carts and elevators looked like hand me downs. The omlet guy was great during breakfast though.
Anything but a resort. Two star motel

Hotel bills itself as a resort and charges resort fee and parking. It is anything but a resort and provides no services. Room dirty and outdated. No answer at front desk then hang ups to request supplies. When finally tracked someone down to got supplies, also got someone else’s pubic hair on the towel. Breakfast was limited and awful quality. Just skipped if after day one. Coffee shop supposed to be open all day but closed sign when we went their twice. STAY AWAY
The good, bad, and the ugly

I only recommend this hotel if you are on a tight budget. It includes breakfast, shuttle, kids activities and a complimentary happy hour. The breakfast was really lousy though and the shuttle doesn’t have convenient times. Plus it will only drop you off outside the park so you have to take the monorail or ferry to Magic Kingdom. Breakfast- the pancakes tasted like flour, the potatoes were dry. The omelettes were ok but there wasn’t any bread to go with it. You can’t go wrong with the cereal. All of the kids gaming tables were broken and floor tiles were loose. The pool was very nice and has an indoor portion. The splash pad is great for kids but the water was freezing and there wasn’t enough water to push the kids down the slide. When we arrived, someone had spilled French fries and ketchup outside our room. Not sure how long it was sitting there. The pool view rooms are nice but ours backed up to the lake with a noisy highway behind it. I wouldn’t stay there again.

Positive- kids loved the pool and splash pad. Breakfast was offered. Quick ride to destinations in orlando. Movie at night was really cool. You didn't have to wear a mask. The guy making omelets was super nice too. :) Negative- we were actually really disappointed in the customer service. We were sent there for a very special trip through make a wish for my daughter and when my father tried to call and PAY for a welcome basket to be put together for us (there's a small store at the site) or PAY for an upgrade on the room or add a gift card to the resort for the coffee shop, gift shop, etc with a nice welcome card....SOMETHING to make her feel special.... they told him no? I don't know why they'd turn down that extra income. Especially under the circumstances on why we were there. They did say because they couldn't go into a room that was already cleaned but that's just ridiculous. They could have had it at the front desk or something? 🙄 The room was fine. Kind of had a little odor to it and the toilet had a hard time draining so that made us nervous. They gave the stroller I rented to another family by mistake so unfortunately we didn't have that for Disney springs the first day but they were nice about it trying to rectify the situation. The shuttle service is very limited too. I think it's great for maybe a business trip where the family can visit, but I don't think we'd stay here again to experience Orlando. It wasn't the "welcoming experience" we usually have with other hotels /resorts.
