My husband and I had wonderful stay at the Rosen Inn. The hotel is very clean and accomadating. There are always fresh towels and the bed so well-made daily. Both my husband and I are neat freaks and we’re impressed with the cleanliness. Bed is super comfy with the best variety of pillows piled on. Will definitely stay here again in the future. Great location! Look no further than Rosen in near Universal.
Universal Studios shuttle, pool, pet friendly, clean, onsite market

Just stayed here for 3 nights for a trip to Universal Studios. I asked for a room on the first floor away from I-4, which I was granted. There were several pros and cons, but we will stay here again. Good value for what I paid. Staff was friendly. Room was clean!! Fridge was cold. Dresser drawers were clean! Shower pressure very good!! Mini market onsite with sundries, personal items, and food for sale. There's everything from half gallons of milk and juice, to batteries, feminine products, makeup remover, nail polish remover, hangover pills, microwave popcorn, chef boyardee, cereal, ice cream, frozen entrees, etc. There is also beer, wine, liquor, and cigarettes for sale. Beers were only around $2.50! Shuttle service to Universal worked well. Room was quiet, and the beds were comfy. I got the most sleep I got all week, and I usually don't sleep well in hotels. There was plenty of light inside the room, and the a/c didn't have any trouble keeping up. We had an interior room (interior access) and the hallway to our room smelled like pot. We could smell it anytime we were near the door while inside the room as well. The bathroom is tiny, which you can see in my pictures. I was not a fan of the really small vanity, as I have a lot of hair tools. Something that I found odd was there are sliding doors to "go outside", but they don't open. There is something in the lock that was screwed in, so you couldn't remove it to open the doors. The onsite market offers fresh baked pizza, and when I asked about it I was told they serve that until 11pm. We went down at 8:30 and there were told the worker was on break until 9. We went back at 9, and we were told the oven was closed. That right there knocked my review from 4 stars to 3, because we were counting on that after being at the parks all day. After connecting to the wifi, their homepage came up, and it mentioned a (paid) breakfast buffet in the onsite dining room. I enquired about that at the front desk, and they said that was closed right now for Covid. I will stay here again if I can still get a good rate. This hotel was half the price of other hotels in the area, and there is no fee to park. I have another reservation for next month.

Worst Experience Ever

I recently stayed at the Rosen Inn, in Orlando Fl at 6237 International Drive in rm 201. I was there from 11/24-11/29/21 On the evening of 11/26/21, which was a Friday, I had just returned from sightseeing. It was after 10pm, so I was getting ready for bed. I left my shoes by the door and went to do a few things. My last task was to wash my face. The sink is located at the front door. I washed my face, and was drying it, when I saw something coming out of my shoe. It was a roach crawling on my shoe. I killed it immediately and called the front desk around 10:20p. I was told a manager would call me right back. That didn't happen. A maintenance person showed up around 10:40p. I showed him the bug and that I took a picture on my phone. He checked the area and said he could use a non-toxic spray, have someone come the next morning to spray, but I would need to leave the room so it can air out the smell. When he left it was after 11:20p. He didn't have the spray supposedly when he returned, that was 11:40p. He said someone would be at the room in the morning. Saturday morning came and went, and no one showed. I left around 2p, to see if anyone would call or show up. No one did. I called the front desk again about the issue, but was told management was aware and would contact me. My stay was planned until 11/30/21, but I checked out on 11/29 instead, to stay elsewhere. I use to work for Marriott, so I am familiar with how hospitality should be. There wasn't any concern, common courtesy, or top notch customer service. When checked our, I again asked to speak with a manager, but was told no one was available. A general manager would be in on December 1, 2021 and would call me. I heard nothing. Today is Thursday, December 2nd, I called and was transferred to an executive assistant. She would let me speak with management at all. She stated that the room was inspected AFTER I checked out, not while I was there. They found nothing at all so they can't help me. That's BS. Don't stay here, it's not worth it. I wish I could rate this Roach Motel a -0!!!!
Someone opened my latched room door...WHILE WE ARE SLEEPING

Stayed 1 night (2021/Dec/6-7th), stayed Room # 411. Rude and unprofessional woman(Spanish speaker) didnt help me to connecting with the wifi in the lobby because we arrived TOO early. Well, it was not a major cons for this hotel. We were super tired and felt asleep from 11pm and woke up 5:40am. (Of course, we closed the room door, put the latch.) And next morning we found out, the DOOR was OPENED! Thankfully the latch was preventing to opened the room completely, but without the latch, IT WOULD BE A NIGHTMARE! And, someone didnt even bother to closed the room door-- we got the goosebump. Not to mention the front lobby woman was unkind and rude, bed smells funny, but that was most crazy thing ever happened in our long travel history. I tried to complaint about this but we are hurry to catch the flight and the lobby was busy to get new travelers this morning, so we left without comment, but hands down this is THE HOTEL NIGHTMARE THE MOST we will remember.
