We are owners since 2006 and this hotel has massively gone down hill.

We arrived at 2:00 am to a suite that was not cleaned properly. The next morning we went to get the bus to universal and they stopped because of the pandemic - poor excuse and when I pressed the manager, he said the company went bust and there are no other bus services in Orlando - hard to believe in a big city! One of the big incentives was this bus service saving $27 parking per day x 14 days it adds up!
We then went to the water park and we’re told to give our receipt we were given at check in - we were never given any receipt just the room keys. (Also no welcome pack or any information in our room etc. The water park is a new addition - just opened in March.)
We arrived back on Saturday night and drove around for an hour at 10pm as there was no parking anywhere near our block or the other two blocks around us. (Manager said they had 700 check ins that day and not enough parking and no special parking for owners either.) We are traveling with a child so this was a huge inconvenience.
The icing on the cake was tonight when my 31 year old husband and 61 year old father in law were refused a beer at Drafts because they don’t accept any other ID except from USA. But we can rent a car and go to any other liquor establishment with our English and Barbadian ID’s in the US. We walked out and complained to the manager who looked much younger than all of us and did not have a reasonable reason as to why they refused.
Oh and we asked 3 times to have our interconnecting door to be opened - 3 days later they finally sent someone. Finally the room keys are very temperamental even when we keep them separate from phones, credit cards etc. The rooms need upgrading and a thorough clean as they haven’t changed in 15 years! Very disappointed and wouldn’t recommend buying timeshare for shoddy service, unclean rooms and an overall tired hotel.
No recommendation to sit here

Checked in at 4 so we had time to check out the resort and pools. Upon entering our room to check it out, we found 3 different types of bugs (pics included). Called and asked to have a manager come to inspect. AFTER 45 minutes they sent a housekeeper and she said she would have to get a manager to change rooms. (why I asked for manager to start) Then after waiting another hour and no one showing up, I went back to the front desk. The front desk manager said they were booked full and I had to stay in room or leave. ( I LEFT) She said no problem as they were overbooked and needed the room. She really did not care at all about the situation and was short and unapologetic. The counters in the kitchen were sticky and had not been cleaned and there was enough dust on pictures and thermostat that a clear fingerprint could be left. We had to get a last minute booking at Residence Inn by Marriott and it was worth it. If you stay here expect dirt, possible bugs, and no parking if you arrive after 10 pm. (our friends were forced to stay in their room and almost left at midnight to drive home because there was literally no parking space. Their room was also dirty but no bugs.) My advice is NEVER STAY HERE.

🤬🤬🤬My family and friends had a nightmare visit there last month and the staff was very nonchalant— they cared nothing about how people were affected or inconvenienced! We’ve tried endless times to speak to someone regarding what happened but received no response, and another sales pitch, after a horrific visit! We’ll definitely be looking to break ties with this place, and if there’s ANYONE thinking of purchasing a timeshare there, save yourself some time and money—we’ll sign you the rights over to ours FOR FREE! Family and guests started having some illnesses symptoms after our visit—come to find out that the place was infested with black mold…..time to pack up and move all our possessions, after getting settled, was truly irritating, and we were moved to another unit that had some issues, and because it couldn’t immediately be remedied, we suffered through, instead of having to move everything, A SECOND TIME! No one at the resort could offer any kind of explanation or compensation for our issues/troubles, and we have come to the decision to never visit this place again IN LIFE! Like I said, please message me if you’re interested in having ownership of a unit signed over to you—NO CHARGE!🤬🤬🤬 The pictures are from the kitchen of our first unit!
I would recommend!

The opportunity to unwind and refresh while on vacation at WESTGATE Resorts in Orlando, Florida, provided me with a wonderful weekend getaway. What a tremendous opportunity this presents. I wasn't able to take advantage of all of the amenities that the resort has to offer due to time constraints, but I did enjoy the things that I was able to partake in while I was there. It has seven pools, a water park, a covered terrace, a restaurant, a spa, a marketplace, bowling, a game room, a tennis court, bike rentals, and a variety of other activities.
I was prepared to submit a five-star review; however, my most recent interaction has caused me to reconsider my decision. Exceptional service was provided by everyone, with the exception of the last person I interacted with (J. Campbell) at check out. Every member of the staff I came into contact with (with the exception of J. Campbell) was polite and wanted to assist me in any way they could. Every location has its defects, and this one had one in particular (the unpleasant employee). I would strongly recommend this resort with customer service training in case you have a terrible experience, which I have had only once while vacationing there.
