Great Staff & Location

It was a long day from LAX to Atlanta to Rome, then Leonardo Express to Rome Termini, then a run from track 24 to track 1 Regionale to Orvieto then the funicular up to the town and finally on a short bus to the piazza near the hotel. We were met by the nicest host named Jude who helped us to our room to collapse. We stayed 3 nights with a nice breakfast. The hotel got us a last minute dinner reservation and helped with other restaurants. The location is great & easy to walk everywhere.

Can't imagine if I had gone anywhere else. I felt so comfortable and safe which is a must as a solo traveler. Loved the extra touches like the slippers they gave. This was my room service, I was so pleased.

Great location …. But don’t expect too much from your room

We stayed here for one night to explore the fantastic city of Orvieto. We were greeted very nicely and the staff was great all along. Very nice and professional. The room was nice … but: - never slept in a more uncomfortable bed swinging every time you move an inch - never been in a shower cabin smaller than here … within an already rather small bathroom So … expect a lot from the city and the staff … don’t expect too much from your room But still … the city is worth the trip and the stay.

Lovely Hotel in a fantastic setting.

It would be difficult to find a more beautiful location than Orvieto and the Hotel Palazzo Piccolomini is tucked away in a corner of this medieval village. This is my second stay at this hotel and once again I was thoroughly impressed. Our room, by European standards, is large and the bath is comfortable. The bedding is very nice and the room immaculate. As before, the staff have been friendly and helpful and the included breakfast was satisfying. I can’t imagine staying anywhere else on my next visit to Orvieto.

The reception on our arrival was so lovely. Very accommodating and helpful. The rooms are very well appointed. Surprised to find a small refrigerator stocked with still and sparkling water. Jude went above to assist us and make our time in Orvieto very memorable.
