The hotel has a good location. Reception staff are kind and accommodating. Breakfast is plentiful and tasty. BUT as Kev P reviewed below, housekeeping leaves a lot to be desired. Upon lying down in bed , I saw the blanket had dried gum stuck on it. it was so gross!(check photo below). Likewise, they made th bed very haphazardly and just dumped the used pajamas which I forgot to put in the laundry box on the bed. I could not believe I was in a Japanese hotel. I hope they improve their housekeeping. I transferred to this hotel after staying in Hotel Vischio by Granvia in Umeda to be closer to Dotonbori . Now that hotel was a pleasant surprise. I was expecting this hotel to be better due to a higher rating in trip advisor but it was such a let down (housekeeping wise).
Nice and central hotel

Nice stay, helpful staff. The rooms are good and we really liked that Pola line of creams and shampoos etc. Could do better with having mugs and selection of teas, creamer and sugar in the room. Also breakfast could have a better selection of fruit. Otherwise very centrally located near Dotonbori.
Don't stay at Karaksa, here is why:

I 'd like to share my recent experience with this hotel. To me hotel should rate based at least 3 categories: design, cleanliness and services. It does not have a closet, you have to hang your coats and outfit on the wall, the bed sheet is only changed every four day, that leaves your room a mess. They don't clean the room or make the bed, they just change the new towels when you drop the used ones in the basket, if not they won't replace with clean ones. In Vegas the bed sheet is changed every other day or everyday on request, but even when it is not changed, the room is still cleaned up and the bed is made. Here they don't change the bedsheet and won't clean the room and won't make the bed. It was a terrible experience, especially it s a hotel in Japan where cleanliness is a priority.
Nice hotel, nice staff, great location.

This is a great place to stay in Osaka. Staff are very nice, desk staff speak some English. Rooms are spacious with a contemporary design. Breakfast was simple but tasty. Found the hotel very clean. It’s right next to one of the crab restaurants with a neon sign visible from the room but the curtains are excellent and the room was really dark. The location is great with heaps of restaurants nearby and an easy walk to shinsaibashi and Dotonbori. We would definitely stay again.

As you approach this hotel, it is nestled in crowded area. So you think how good can this be? Well don't let the location fool you. We enjoyed every moment of our stay here. It is about a 10 minute walk to the train station and another 20 minute walk to Dontobori. The rooms were nicer than expected not like traditional Japanese rooms. The shower is the best part in my opinion. It was spacious with the rain forest shower head. The breakfast was satisfying...not the best but is sufficient. It was affordable and overall an excellent experience. Enjoy!
