Excellent family B&B

Used this B&B for one Saturday night for a visit to see my niece at the University. A solid reliable guest house. Didn't spend too much time there as a busy weekend.
- Easy to find off the Iffley Road
- Convenient parking
- Nice 20 minutes stroll into Oxford City centre with a number of nice pubs on the route
- Spotlessly clean rooms with very comfortable bed.
- Very quiet (we were at the back)
- Excellent full English breakfast & coffee
- Friendly & welcoming - family run.
I was really pleased we were able to use a local B&B so we could give some income to the local economy rather than the chain hotels.
All in all a good experience.
Overnight stay for oxford half marathon

Very friendly family business , nothing is too much trouble.
I took part in the oxford half marathon and they kindly let me have a shower back at b&b after my race.
We had the loft room and it was spacious and clean.
Only 2 miles from centre - we walked there , so no taxi needed.

Stayed at Milka's over the weekend whilst visiting friends around the corner. We were immediately impressed with the cleanliness of the place, and friendliness of the staff we encountered. The room was lovely, and they even allowed us a late check-out. We will definitely be staying again next time we visit Oxford!
Not Great, for the Price

This was the closest b & b we could find to an event at a hotel in Iffley, as the hotel itself seemed a bit pricey. We paid £99 for one night.
The location is pretty convenient, as it looks like you could walk into the city centre pretty easily, and there is a bus stop very close by. There is also plenty of parking.
It is run by an elderly, Russian lady (presumably the Milka of the place's name), and there are some interesting, Russian items on display in the breakfast room, including a samovar. Otherwise, the decor is a bit odd, with rather cheap, tatty furniture, though everything is spotlessly clean. Our room was very spacious and quiet, overlooking the huge, back garden (which includes seating and a large trampoline). I am not sure how quiet the rooms at the front, on the main road, would be, even with the double glazing. The bed was very firm, but not uncomfortable. There was a kettle, teabags and coffee sachets, but no sign of any milk substitute of any sort. The weirdest thing about the room was, there was no light switch in the bathroom, and the light came on automatically, BUT you couldn't switch it off, and it stayed on for 15 minutes after you left the room (yes, we did time it eventually!). This might not have been a problem, but there was a fanlight above the door, so even if you closed it, there was still a very bright light beaming into the room! As we had had quite a lot to drink at an event before arrival, we did need to use the loo quite a lot during the night, so it was pretty disturbing!
Breakfast was not too bad, and it was nice having hash browns and mushrooms included, but the tomatoes were raw, which was quite peculiar. I suppose it wasn't bad value for a place in a major, tourist destination, but as we had only recently paid £75 per night for an absolutely brilliant stay in Hastings, we felt a bit let down.
Comfortable, quiet, convenient lodgings

This B&B was a wonderful place to stay on our visit to Oxford. The hosts were so welcoming and helpful, and the location was excellent, with bus service just outside that got us to the heart of Oxford in 10 minutes. The breakfast was delicious and the room was very attractive and comfortable.
