Utterly brilliant! Excellent staff, food and accommodation. All the staff from reception to bar to restaurant to cleaners exceeded our expectations every day! Thank you to all at Yria for a relaxing holiday
Not Worth the Money at all...

For the positives... this small hotel is very clean, well maintained and very pretty. Hotel breakfast is average. The lobby is small and there is nobody running the place. The beach is not part of the hotel and you have to pay about 40.00 to get an umbrella and chair on the beach. There was no spa at all and there are no activties to speak of. There is no bang for the buck here and it is inconveniently located. The staff is so average it hurts. There is no luxury at all and the prices are crazy for the value.

Firstly the hotel grounds are beautiful and all kept well especially the gardens. The cleanliness was good throughout the hotel
The hotel is a 5 min walk from a gorgeous beach with great beach cafe (you need to reserve beds)
The pool is also great, big and perfect for laps.
The concierge made very good dinner recommendations which was so helpful
However, this is not a 5* resort, the staff really don’t know what they are doing. Our transfer from the ferry was late to pick us up and didn’t have our names, we were then charged 50 Eur which in a standard taxi is 10 Eur.
The hotel could not make you a coffee at breakfast, you had to que for coffee and to use a toaster which wasn’t COVID friendly.
The food from the menue was pre prepared and warmed when ordered, we received pancakes and omlets burnt and cold. When we showed the staff they said it was sitting in a warmer! Not what you want to here for 400-500 euros a night. Any coffee not made yourself or a fresh juice was charged on top.
Whilst a better room was available the next day the hotel showed us the room and then would not upgrade us not that it made huge amounts of difference.
The rooms had detail of room service, when we ordered cocktails to our room we were told there is no room service because of Covid. This baffled me with a huge buffet breakfast!! They had forgotten to mention that due to COVID there was no spa and no room service during our stay.
Around the pool no staff are available to take drink orders you have to find them. The staff look like they had no idea what they were doing, one staff member told us the power had gone because we had the wrong key, another member of staff said the key is nothing to do with the electricity. Checking in was a shambles and we found them quite rude and uninterested.
This hotel just doesn’t have the service, food, small things like providing towels and drinks that other 4/5 stars do.
Check in took ages
Late check out
Staff told us things were bad because of the busy period, again not really my issue I assume that’s why they put the prices up
Small hotel conveniently located

Lovely small hotel short stroll from a small beach.
Delightful rooms (sort of individual single-floor 'bungalows').
Stayed late September so possibly end-of-season tiredness caused breakfast staff to be a bit 'spaced out' and not so good at clearing tables when you've finished with some plates etc.
Talking of breakfast: really good, varied, fresh. Only thing was the croissants which were rather rock-like!
Charming reception staff.
Pleasant stay which could be improved with a few simple changes by management

Let me start with the positives. My room was very nice, clean & well maintained by the housekeeping staff, so congratulations. The grounds & pool area clean, tidy & well kept. All staff were polite & tried their best to accommodate us. Easy walk to the beach, with lovely taverna, serving authentic Greek food & a beautiful view. Breakfast was included & plentiful; buffet & a la carte.
Unfortunately, the negatives outweigh the positives, especially for a hotel charging so much.
1.No complimentary water. Not even water dispensers in the bar/pool area. You need to pay 5 euros/bottle.
2.No tea/coffee making facilities in room. Again, 5 euros/cup outside the breakfast hours (which doesn’t start until 8am). Too bad if you're an early riser. Management COULD have a station in foyer for.
4.No full-length mirror in the rooms.
3.It's hard to get to Parikia without car/taxi. Buses are infrequent & the walk to bus station is dangerous, along gravel road. Management could provide complimentary shuttles at certain hours.
4.Restaurant food & bar drinks are outrageously expensive.
5.Wi-Fi is slow & often dropped out.
6. No iron in the room, apparently due to some wiring issue. However, ironing service is available BUT so expensive. Management could have a communal ironing room for their guests.
While it was a pleasant stay (due to the group I was with), I would not recommend Yria Hotel. Management need to address the requirements of their guests and bring the hotel up to the calibre expected.
