The hotel is wonderful value. Comfortable beds, clean rooms, excellent breakfast. Sonia at the front desk was extremely helpful beyond expectations. The general area is a little seedy, but fine. Great value.
Quality customer care for a great price

The friendliest from the moment I arrived until the moment I checked out. Eden Opera Hotel is the definition of quality customer service and it makes them shine. I've stayed at 5-star hotels that treated me like crap - service is so important when you are staying somewhere away from home.
They are also dedicated to cleanliness which is important to me. They cleaned the room nearly every day that I was there and deep clean. They even cleaned my room one day when I woke up mid-afternoon after a night out.
The bathroom has been maintained well and it's obvious the hotel has good management. I think it could definitely be even better maybe even post-pandemic as travelers all return.
Sure it isn't a fancy hotel with all the bells and whistles you might get at a higher-end and expensive hotel, but do you really need to get all those things when Paris is outside? The location is close to the subway and most metro options so you can easily access most of Paris and taxis or Ubers are not bad from here either since it's pretty centrally located.
I recommend it!

I selected this hotel by chance and do not regret at all. Actually will probably be back in my future - always short - stays in Paris. It's in Montmartre, a couple of blocks downhill from Pigalle metro station and within walking distance to Sacré Coeur and the splendid view of the city. My room was small (my choice), but very comfy and provided everything I needed ... specially the absence of noise, a luxury for me ! Front desk was very helpful and I cannot forget to mention the breakfast, very tasty.

All you need. Modern, remodeled bathroom, luxury soaps, good mattress, great breakfast options. Being Paris, this is an older building, but never fear, there is an elevator and indoor plumbing!! No problem staying there again. Fruit market, grocery, all types of restaurants in a few blocks, along with a metro stop.
Dishonest refund promise

My only experience was chatting with someone on the phone during March 2020. I was in Germany at the time and had been notified that France closed their borders, so I reached out to the hotel to see if I could cancel considering I can't entry the country, despite being a day past the cancellation policy date. The guy I talked to assured me they understood the circumstances and would approve the refund, but that because I booked through Expedia, I would have to cancel there first, to initiate the refund. I did that right away, and of course Expedia was bogged down, so by the time I got in contact to dispute the cancel without a refund, they tried calling the hotel, but it was closed due to the pandemic. They tried over time, and finally in July, they talked to the hotel who refused my refund because of the cancellation date. I dont know who I talked to in March, but he assured me they understood and it wouldn't be an issue. 4 months later, I've spent hours following up on this only to be jerked around. They either should have told me no refund back in March, or honored that employee's promise now. Instead they let me think I'd get my money back just to reject me later. I wasted so much time on this just for them to change their minds.
