Heaven

Our recent stay at the breath-taking and gorgeous Amara Resort and Spa was beyond excellent. My family and I were swimming in a pool of luxury. While checking in I met the lovely and welcoming manager. She had an ear-to-ear smile flashing us her teeth. The rooms were magical. They were beguiling. For the seven days I spent in Amara,I had all my meals in the hotels’ marvelous restaurant.Every single morning I would wake up and head down to the restaurant, where i was served the most eye opening coffee.Which I desperately needed. Then I would scarf down some divine breakfast. That was mostly how most of my days went. Furthermore,I think that this resort is incredible and magical. This resort really feels like home.

Covid 19

Reviewed 3 march, 2021

Amarante Hotel Champs-Elysees issued me a hotel credit valid until October 31, 2021. However, I don't think travel will be allowed anytime soon so I asked if they could just refund my booking deducting one night stay, or extend my hotel credit with no expiration. I haven't received any replies from the hotel nor from the JJW Hotel & Resorts Group.

Cancellation due to Coronavirus

Reviewed 23 march, 2020

I made a booking through Agoda last February 2020, but I was informed by the hotel that the booking was through Booking.com. My booking is nonrefundable but due to the current situation plus the whole of Europe is on lockdown, I had to cancel my travel plans. I requested to get a full refund on the basis of force majeure. However, I was informed by the hotel that they had to charge me one-night penalty. I cannot cancel directly fromm the hotel but Agoda is not a big help. Hotel management was kind enough to offer me extension until end of December 2020. However, it is uncertain until when this pandemic will end so I ask if they can extend until at least April or May 2021, but I didn't receive any feedback. I really would love to visit France and stay at Amarante Hotel due to its location. I hope Amarante Hotel management will be considerate enough to either give me a full refund or extend my booking until April or May 2021.

Best times are gone

Reviewed 16 october, 2019

Even if the best times of this hotel obviously are gone, it could be worth a visit if you like 'old-school' hotels that could tell a lot stories! The location is perfect, the staff is friendly, and all in all it was good. But there are staints on a lot of walls and you can see the history of this hotel literally everywhere. For this experience it is quite expensive, but so is the rest of Paris... No opinion about the breakfast, we did not have any.
