This hotel is ideally located, within walking distance of the Eiffel Tower, very close to Arch du Triomphe, the Champs Elysées, and the ultra-chic Victor Hugo Avenue. The hotel has excellent public transportation connections, with taxis, the metro and the trains nearby. The hotel has been fully refurbished by designer Michel Jouannet, resembling the chic Parisian mansions.

Love this hotel! Great location just a few blocks from Arc de Triomphe. The staff is very pleasant and goes the extra mile to make sure you are pleased with your stay. An added bonus is a grocery store (Monop) just down stairs. Will definitely stay here again on my next trip to Paris.

Mr. Zahir is an excellent person at Hotel du Bois, I would return again and again as his excellence in hospitality made my several stays super great. I would like to recommend the Hotel specifically for his presence there. The service and added values he personally provided were outstanding. Thank you so much Mr. Zahir and the great team at Hotel du Bois.

Near to all tourist spots. The receptionist are all nice, specially the night shift. Breakfast is correct, the hotel is so clean and chic. The room and beds are spacious, nice isolation. It is worth the price.
The Owners Aren't Qualified to Operate a Hotel

We arrived in Paris on March 11, 2020, from California. News of COVID-19 was being downplayed by the US government and information from the administration conflicted with those qualified on the matter. We arrived at Hotel Du Bois and were checked in on arrival. The room was small, but efficient. The hotel is a few blocks from the Arc de Triomphe and Champs Elysees. Great location. There is a market on the first level that has a good seletion and is reasonably priced. This is where the good part of this review ends. Housekeeping was a problem. The first night we had 1 wash cloth. The 2nd night no wash cloths. On the 3rd day I was able to request that we have 2 wash cloths. We were left with 4 hand towels. The 4th day we got 2 wash cloths. Housekeeping would clean the room and we would find long, brown hairs in the bath tub, on the bathroom floor and in the bed. Neither of us have hair that is either long or brown. Amenities were an issue. I gave up asking for soap. We purchased a few bars of soap from the market below the hotel. We decided to fly home early for fear of our president stranding us in Paris, among his many ill advised actions in response to COVID-19 that continue to this day. I stopped at the front desk to tell the woman working there that we would be checking out a day early and why, and that we didn't expect to get a refund for the one night we wouldn't be staying. That was 165 Euros + tax. The morning we checked out, while our driver waited to take us to CDG, the same woman I had talked to the day before chatted on the phone for 10 minutes while we politely waited for her to finish her phone call. When she finally gave us her attention, I told her we were leaving for the airport, here's your key and goodbye. She told me that there had been a mistake at check in and that we owed the hotel another 45 Euros. She couldn't explain the mistake and we had to be on our way. I was disgusted by her nerve and stupid attitude. So I paid the amount and we left with no intention of ever staying again at this poor excuse of a hotel. Any branded hotel would have assumed the cost of their mistake. Most branded hotels would have offered a refund of the additional night due to circumstances of COVID-19. And finally, the most glaring issue for this "hotel" -. There was never a posting at the front desk, in the breakfast room or in our room about measures being taken to ensure the health and safety of their employees and/or guests due to COVID-19. We don't believe that the owners or their employees understaod that a worldwide pandemic was knocking on their front door. DON'T PUT YOURSELF AT RISK. AVOID THIS "HOTEL" AT ANY COST. Stay in a branded hotel. We used to prefer to give our business to independently owned establishments. We let our guard down with Hotel Du Bois and we'll never patronize independent businesses again. The owners of Hotel Du Bois have themselves to blame for our experience and for our opinion of their business. NEVER AGAIN! The Hotel Du Bois looks good on their website. Problem is, the pictures on line ARE NOT an accurate representation of what you'll actually experience at the Hotel Du Bois. We give credit to the photographer for assisting the owners in deceiving us. The real Hotel Du Bois is not worth experiencing.

We have stayed at this hotel several times in the past as have our children (now grown up). We recently stayed on a weekend in September for 3 nights. Unfortunately things weren’t as good as they have been on previous visits. When we arrived we were able to check in an hour before the official time which was great. Unfortunately the carpet in our room was damp which we found out later was due to a leaky shower door. The room had only been made up for one person - ie one mug, two towels, not enough pillows etc. The plug in the bathroom sink did not work so you had to hold it up with your fingers to let the water out and an electricity socket (the kettle one!!) didn’t work either. In fairness the hotel did call for an engineer to resolve the bathroom problems but he arrived just when we had returned to our room after a days sightseeing do not ideal. The refreshment tray was never replenished so we constantly had to ask for more milk etc. Never got a tea bag! The saving grace for this hotel is the location. 10 mins max to Arc du Triomphe and 15 mins to the Eiffel Tower. Perfect for a weekend away. Right in the thick of things. The staff we met in reception were polar opposites, either really helpful or really not. Unfortunately they just highlighted each other’s pros and cons. Would we stay here again. Probably not. Planning to try another part of Paris next time. No photos this time as not inclined to take any.
