Watch out.

Awful experience. I recommend anyone reading to immediately search for another hotel. The night staff was an atrocious man and probably the rudest man I have ever met. He is dramatic and extremely hot headed, and if you arrive at a certain time at night he takes great pleasure in locking you out. Rooms are like cupboards, toilets are communale and filthy, just as the establishment is.

RUDE and UTTERLY DISGRACEFUL

Really awful service by the man in reception on the night I arrived. Would not let me in even though I gave him id and email confirmation. Made me own my vague outside at midnight to get my credit hard out to give him before letting me enter. Even told me to f*** off when I came back down at 2 am to get our passports back as he had forgotten to give them back. When I tried was trying to tell a different member if staff the next morning on reception get interrupted me and got all defensive and made me out to be a liar raised his voice at me didn't want time help shouted at me to call booking.com if I have complaint. I was travelling with my 5 year old daughter. These men should be sacked or sent on training as clearly they have no people skills. I only hope nobody else has to deal with this kind of rudeness and upset on their visit. Room was clean and toilet was clean. Happy with room.

Morning Staff Rudeness

The hotel was decent and all, but the man in the front desk needs to watch his attitude. I didn't get his name but watch out for him, he is anywhere from 35-45 years old dark hair. He was not friendly what so ever. His favorite word is NO, doesn't offer any real solutions to any issues that can arise. the 2 younger men working late at night are spendid.

Good price and location

The staff was really nice and helpful, they let us leave our bags there the last day free of charge. Breakfast was okay. It is located near the metro station (2min). Relatively close to the big sights of Paris. Great stay, worth it for the price.

Little gem of a hotel in the heart of Paris

Reviewed 10 august, 2019

I found the hotel online and booked it because the price was good and it was just a short walk from the Gare du Nord. Its location near the junction of Boulevard Rochechouart and Boulevard Barbès means it is handy for the Métro. Also nearby is the beautiful church of the Sacré Coeur and the Flea Market at Clignancourt. The neighbourhood was lively; we arrived on a Saturday evening and the streets were crowded with people. As obvious visitors (carrying backpacks etc) we attracted more attention than we wanted, but it did not diminish the whole experience of being in Paris. The staff were very helpful and polite at all times and the accommodation clean and comfortable. Breakfast was served buffet style in a small dining room and consisted of croissants, bread, jam, butter, orange juice and a wide selection of coffees and tea. We decided to book into the same hotel on our return journey and they gave us favourable rates for being returning customers.
