At 1:30 am the 27th of september, I had to come to reception and explain to receptionist, that some Rats have been scraching the walls. Actually, this man without say sorry, gave me ears plugs. I could not sleep all night, and I have been working on the room until the morning. I was about to forget, but on friday midday I was feeling ulcers and bites all around my body. Please, see pictureS. It is clear that they have higenic mayor problems at that Hotel. So, i ask you to WATCH OUT Before booking!!!

A friend of mine is going to Paris next month and asked me if I had a Hotel I could recommend in Paris. Before I did told her about Lux Hotel, which by the way I have stayed at, in 3 different occacions, I decided to check for reviews here. And I have to admit I was very surprise of some of the horrible reviews. True. The street is on is not pretty. The entrance is not pretty either, nor is the lobby. Te elevator is very tiny, but it's an old building and at least there is an elevator. Which by the way never broke in the 3 defferent times I was there. But. The front desk people are very nice and helpful. I never had breakfast there so I couldn't talk about it. Maybe it was dirty but I didn't see it. But. One thing I can say. I wasn't smelly. Maybe I was lucky because we were always 3 so we always got a triple room which to me was very comfortable and big enough for 3 people with plenty of room for bags, etc. Beds were comfortable and clean. The bathroom in this room was very big and clean, with a great bathtub and a wonderful window. So. If you want a place to sleep in a good location, pretty decent price and very attentive service stay here. Just remember it's a 2 star hotel. I will deffinetelly stay here especially if I need a tripple room.
Poor experience, not 2 stars.Payed 70 euro only for the location, the room was not worth even 20 euro.

The room is very little. The window did not have a handle, so they were barely just closing (some air draft was passing between the windows). The door handle was broken, so I was almost got locked inside the room. The bathroom was very little and being at one of the upper floors, the hot water flow was not very good and the water was warm (not hot). The bathroom smelled moldy and damp. The staff was very friendly though and the location of the hotel was good.

I stayed here after losing my bus to Avignon on a Sunday night and with it the last oportunity to leave my favourite city Paris. I just searched a place to stay at 10pm, so I was more than happy about this Hotel. The guy on the reception was more than nice. He even helped me to search a TGV Paris-Avignon on the next day. I think I didn't expect much from it, for me it was just a place to sleep. But it's very central with nearby acces to metro and near the Gare de Lyon, so I would come back. And I say again, super nice staff ! They even offered to print out my e-ticket for the TGV. Higly recommended!
Affordable and alternative staying

My friend and I stayed here for a couple of days over NYE and it was definitely a good choice. There is a very close subway station so the location is really good and the hotel itself is nice considered the price. The rooms are wide and the view is really pretty. The design is kinda alternative/hipster, not sure it's on purpose but I found it very interesting. Only downside, the maids can't speak English and I am not that good in French. The receptionist though can speak good English.
