Not What I Expected From A Marriott Hotel

I wouldn't recommend this hotel. I'm a Marriott Rewards member. I've stayed here twice in recent years, once before the pandemic and once this month, and nothing has changed. There's a lot wrong with this hotel. When I stayed here before the pandemic, they put me in a room in which the TV did not work at all. It was in October and the 7th game of the World Series was on. They sent a maintenance man to my room and he couldn't fix it. So after that they moved me to a room where the tv did work. You would have thought some person would have notified the front desk. Recently, I stayed there again and nothing changed. The hotel is very long and spread out, so if you have any walking problems, don't stay here. It will usually be a long, long walk. When I removed the bathroom shower mat, the rod it was hanging on broke. There was a nice stash of in-room tea and coffee offerings and a brewer. But there was no carafe to brew it in. I looked all over the room for a USB port to charge my phone. The one I found in the desk lamp was the only one and it didn't work. Plugged in for over an hour and my phone never charged. Then at 8:30 on a Sunday morning I hear from the hallway constant loud voices from the housekeeping staff yelling to each other to many rooms "Housekeeping" and knocking on many drawers. Oh, and there is no room service. So I know when the hotel finds out about this review they will say something about how much they care about what they're customers thing of their hotel and they will address the problems I've mentioned. Just don't bet on it, because it's just the nature of this property that they won't build quality that is customer-pleasing into this property.
Wedding Weekend Stay 🎯

My husband and I stayed here for one night to attend the wedding of a friend’s daughter. From check-in to check-out, we had cordial, professional service from the front desk—we must commend Moe, Kathi Golick and Mari Jaeger in particular. Every member of housekeeping gave us a pleasant greeting in passing. Our room (262) boasted a very comfortable bed with great pillows and wonderful linens. It was nice to have a love seat instead of one chair. The bathroom was spotless with plenty of towels and the shower was excellent, although I did have a quibble with the toiletries supplied; the tiny bottle of shampoo was half-empty and the Marriott’s decision to provide soap scented with patchouli ensured that it would remain unused (1980s college flashback—ugh). Thank God the shower gel had a more innocuous fragrance. We did find the A/C/heat fan to be a bit noisy when we hit the sack, but at least it helped drown out the noise of some inconsiderate guests in the corridor at 4 am. Once again, the Marriott provided us with a clean, comfortable stay and customer service that put smiles on our faces.

It's a large typical standard Marriot hotel, so it met our expectations. Lobby was nice, room was clean and beds were comfortable. Staff were attentive. Grounds was nice. Hotel was in front of a creek, which made it a little scenic. Decided to stop for 1 night on our way home partly to spend some time in the pool with the kids. Pool looked nice in the pictures. The pool was still clean and ok, but it showed a little bit its age (not a big deal) and it was a little cold like it was not heated. We used it in the morning around 10. The pool started getting warmer later on just as we were leaving. Seems to be a place to go in this area for large parties like a wedding. We stayed in the middle of the week and there appeared to be a wedding there, so guests above us did wake us up in the middle of the night (a the noise....). And I heard a couple of people yelling in the lobby close to midnight. Knock it out 1 star for that. But overall given I was not there to get some serious sleep like a business/R&R trip, it met our purpose.

Absolutely miserable experience! The room was dirty, with crumbs, stains, glitter on the carpet. A big yellow stain on the comforter (as a parent, I recognize a pee stain when I see one!), long black hair on my sheets, disgusting balcony! The staff was incredibly rude. This property no longer honors Bonvoy status privileges. No more upgrades, and you have to ask for the arrival gift and breakfast vouchers. The staff and property do not make the Marriott Corporation proud! Would never stay again at this property unless they improve their cleanliness standard and train staff! Checked out early and switched hotels!

Was there for 1 night, very clean room and friendly staff, got there pretty late at night so I requested for late check out which front desk graciously gave us, would definitely recommend for a nice stay.
