Outdated rooms, carpet rippling,

I was extremely dissapointed. I actually tripped twice on the OLD rippled carpet in every room. I even asked to be placed in a different room, the receptionist said all the rooms were like this. And even admitted that the pictures they take of the resort don't match the rooms. I was a travel agent for years, and it was the worst stay I have ever been in. They only updated the small lobby.

We arrived at Sweetwater pretty late (almost 10PM) but were greeted warmly at reception, where they handled all our questions expertly for a super smooth checkin and settling in experience.
The staff saw the size of our group versus our booking details and they immediately made adjustments to our reservation to make our stay more comfortable.
The rooms were super comfortable, and the staff were so responsive to our addition requests for pillows, sheets, etc.
Thank you to Ranier and his team for our wonderful stay!

We stayed in a 3 bedroom, 2 story, unit 61. The mattresses were not comfortable; they are very firm with no pillow top. Also, the pictures on the website show great lighting, as if there is a lot of natural light coming in; this is not the case. These units don't have much natural light, and feel a little dark even with the lights on; its because the building is mostly enclosed by another building. For instance, the front door and window that looks out from the kitchen sink is actually looking out into an enclosed hallway. And then of course, there are no side wall windows. So that leaves a couple of front windows that don't have much light coming in. I'm also surprised for the price that it did not include a continental breakfast. I suppose since they come with a little kitchen, its expected that you are going to make your own food. Not a good place to stay for just one night, but we wanted a place that could sleep 6. If you are staying longer and want to do some cooking it would be fine I guess; just a little crowded in the living area. But for sure, the beds need to be upgraded to at least have a pillow top so you don't feel the hard lumpy texture of the mattress. I've stayed at Best Western's with better beds. These beds were comparable to a Motel 6.

Boy, photos are deceiving. This lodge is in need of a renovation. The newly remodeled lobby is beautiful, but that is where it ends. Carpets are dirty and wrinkly. There are no screens on the windows, the mattresses haven't been replaced in over a decade, bed frames are loose and squeaky, and the quality of cleanliness is poor. Light fixtures are from 1980. No blankets on bunk beds, only sheets. This would be a wonderful resort if they put some effort in keeping it updated and replaced the furniture at least every 10 years... Very disappointing stay, we left early due to all the above issues.
