Nosotros lo utilizamos como hotel en ruta desde Algonquin Park hacia Ottawa El hotel está muy bien, es limpio, las habitaciones son cómodas y amplias y la piscina interior perfecta para relajarse tras un día de trekking. Lo más justo y que quizá se puede mejorar es el desayuno.

If you've been driving a long time, have already had a bite to eat, and if you don't mind some road noise or the lack of scenery, this is a decent enough place to grab some shut-eye. It's clean and orderly, with some nice design touches, and the people who work here try to be helpful, but for me it was just another bland lodging built as a quick stop-and-go for people hurrying along a highway, in this case, the Trans-Canadian. There were a couple of other lodgings in the cluster, one of which had an eatery that did not seem very appealing to us, although it was right there for a meal if you needed one. We wanted something with a litte more local color, and we hoped to find some good local food. We decided pretty quickly to drive the 10 or so miles to downtown Pembroke, which was an interesting and historic town to visit, with good places to eat and drink, and a nice rails-to-trails pathway that will take you to a pleasant park right on the Ottawa River. There is a lot of railroad history in Pembroke, too. The visit there made this stop worthwhile. If you do stay at the Holiday Inn Express for whatever reason -- brand loyalty, convenience or sleeping comfort, then with some free time on your hands, I'd recommend you get out and enjoy the local ambience in downtown Pembroke. The drive's a bit tricky so be sure to ask for directions.

The hotel was very clean and the staff friendly. We were disappointed in our room #321. We could not operate the TV even though we followed the instructions. At the first try we could not be bothered with further instructions e.g. such as if that did not work try this. We could not close the room darkening curtains and as a result, the sun was streaming in at sunrise. Although we were happy the shower had safety bars it was really weird that you could not reach in to set the dial for the water temperature. There was only one door so you had to get into the shower before you could operate the dial

Check-in and check-out service was very fast and the ladies at the desk were quite friendly. The room we had was very clean and appeared to be well maintained. The wi-fi worked well for us. The complimentary breakfast was just what we needed, offering both hot and cold options and it was nice that they changed the hot items offered over the two days we were there, just to change it up a bit. The machine which allowed you to make your own pancakes was cool!

Very quiet hotel

The hotel is very quiet and the rooms are a good size. The bed was a king and very comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful on check in /check out. There is a nice pool and breakfast is included. We would definitely stay here again when we are in Pembroke.
