OVER PRICED and Not friendly staff

We were at basketball tournament and this place had good reviews. Arrived for 2 night stay 6/25 to 6/27. AT check in we were NOT advised they were not doing a room cleaning. We returned at 1:00 P.M. Saturday and room was NOT cleaned waste baskets not emptied and dirty towels on bathroom floor. I went to front desk and asked WHY I was told we don't redo room unless you stay more than 3 days. I went went back to room and maid knocked on door and handed me a stack of towels,here is your new supply. The FREE breakfast a note on dining room said go to front desk. We were handed a to go bag with a 2 day old cold muffin and cup of yogurt. The pool was CLOSED it was 95+ during our stay reason COVID. The owners are money grabbers not paying for full maid service,no real breakfast,and pool maintenance. The total 2 night cost was $366,and was inflated due to the basketball event. I would NOT stay here as there are many more options at a more reasonable price. P.S. the lobby had a unusual odor as did some rooms and people asked to be moved. I would blame this on the cost reduction of maid and cleaning issues.

Rude clerk at check in

When I checked in the clerk started on me asking did you check your email? I responded no I was traveling. She said your debit card was declined, I explained my card was compromised and I got a new one. She proceeded to tell me that she didn't have to hold my room clearly there was no one there. I didn't appreciate the way she spoke to me I didn't need a lecture I am an older adult. I had booked through another site and she didn't allow me to use that site . She booked and charged our stay before we even stayed and also made an extra 20 on the visit. Once I got settled in the room I did check my emails and she sent out a email to me at 230 in afternoon I was driving. I went out to the front desk to clear up this issue and the clerk had left and the clerk that was on couldn't do anything about it, she said I would have to speak with the original clerk the next day I never saw her again. I didn't appreciate this experience. The room however was clean and the beds were comfortable. Was very disappointed the pool was not even open even though it was offered on website that they had a pool. Also asked if I could look at a book about the area that was in front desk this same clerk said it was a fee to look at it WHAT?

. . . Not even for a b-ball weekend tourney. Room didn’t get cleaned, no fresh towels and the take-away bfast was weak. At $149/ nt plus taxes, we believe there’s better options. When we opened the window there were tons of dead moths between the screen and window. Please clean the Windows, it’s overdue.

Our first time staying at this hotel and do to the lady at the front desk we won’t be back! There were two woman at the desk during check in. I checked in with one lady and She said you are checking in for two rooms and I said no, I only booked one room for me, my husband, and son. She was confused and handed this off to the other lady. The other lady totally lacked customer service skills! I’m not sure if she was a manager but I sure hope not. Instead of apologizing for what may have been some sort of scheduling error, she continued to argue with me stating that I booked two rooms and I need to contact booking.com since it was through them so she don’t get charged commission for the other room. I tried to show her my app which shows that I only booked one room but she would have no parts of it! Instead, she wanted to keep arguing with me. I had proof that I booked one room but instead let’s keep arguing with me! She finally said she would correct it but I needed to call booking.com to make sure they don’t get charged commission. I tried to contact booking but was unsuccessful but why should this be my job? I am a paying customer! Our room was a suite so our son could have his own space. We had three people and were left with two bath towels. Does that make sense? The fridge had food in it left from the previous guest and possibly the guest before them. See attached photo. The curtains were sheers which meant the sun shined in in the AM and you could see everything in and out of our hotel window. The bigger curtains were just decor that were small and would not pull over. We didn’t get breakfast bc they were giving a bag out with breakfast in it instead of the continental breakfast that is stated online. Yeah, yeah due to covid, I know! On a good note the bed was very comfortable and the lobby with the staircase was beautiful.

Very Clean and friendly!

Hotel and rooms very clean and spacious. Friendly and helpful staff. Would never hesitate to stay again. Because of situation with Covid-19, breakfast was muffin, yogurt, and juice in brown paper bag. Pool closed due to Covid as well.
