Find out double booked when arrived. Receptionist removed one stay-good. Step into room only to smell a very strong marijuana odor. -bad Go down stairs, receptionist apologizes and moves me to new room-good Assistant Manger charges me a one night no show and refuses to remove charge after 3 calls and she will not call me back-horrible management

Great for getaway

From check in to check out our stay was great. The front desk agent was friendly and efficient. We arrived a little before check in and I was pleasantly surprised that our room was ready. I have not experienced that during Covid at all. The room was clean and comfortable. I was looking forward to relaxing in the hot tub the next morning only to find that it was only warm at best. I made a quick call to the front desk and in five minutes someone was there turning the heat up. I really appreciated that. It was located right across the street from the venue the show was at as well as one of our favorite Steak houses. We will be back for sure.

Our stay was longer than planned due to an untimely passing of a loved one, but the staff was very accommodating. We love to stay here when we visit family in Ohio. The shopping and dining is so convenient. The made to order breakfast was very good.

Love this hotel. Awesome location and nearby restaurants etc. I will be returning back for a longer stay so that I can explore more. I’m glad that I made the decision to come to this particular hotel.

Newer HGI in excellent shape, mostly great experience

Stayed here one night along the road with spouse and two kids, in a 2Q room. I would give it a 4.5 if I could, but gave the 5 as the one drawback I suspect was a one-time thing. Highlights... --Room wasn't huge but decent-sized for a 2Q HGI room. All the furniture, fixtures, etc., in good shape. --Beds comfortable --Common spaces in good shape and spacious for an HGI --Pool and hot tub area in good shape, pool and hot tub both a little chillier than you'd like but not a big deal. --Location is convenient to the highway and also there are about a dozen restaurants and a movie theater within walking distance (or a very short drive). --Staff were mostly friendly and helpful* --Rate was reasonable for the room, amenities, location, etc. --Breakfast was better than average and with plenty of space to eat without being on top of others. --* = the one exception... when we arrived to check in, no one at the front desk. A queue started to form. Found someone manning the (empty) bar area, and she said the front desk person just usually was behind the wall but had a camera to see the desk and would come out. Didn't for a while. Eventually she did, no "sorry for the wait" or anything, or even a "welcome", just kinda sauntered out and stared at me until I said we would like to check in. It was quite weird. COVID NOTES: No mask rule in place, most people didn't wear one but some staff and some guests did. There was hand sanitizer around, etc. Common spaces were spacious too, so that helps. I would recommend it. I don't want to diminish the rating for the one strange staff encounter, hoping that isn't the norm.
