Checked in during COVID 19
The rooms are spacious, well decorated and superbly maintained. The bed was like sleeping on a cloud! It had a great bathroom size and an outdoor bathtub, plus a good sized closest perfect to hang any beach dresses. The room was well cleaned by Housekeeping. The staff at the reception were very friendly and helpful especially Khun Aom and Khun Tuk. The breakfast and restaurant, in general, provides delicious food decent choice. We also booked ourself into the spa for a 2 hrs thai and aroma massage. The staff there were very friendly and professional. What we really really love is the complimentary non-motorized water sports like kayak, sup board etc. It was fun and an incredible experience. Staffs there was very helpful and took time to take care and show you how everything works. Unfortunately we missed out the bar I highly recommend this hotel for long or short trip in Khao Lak. Thank you to the team for wonderful service during our whole stay, we will be back for sure!
Honeymoon best place
Its the place I began with my lovely wife our journey in life. We had a long trip from the airport to the resort with the taxi but it worth the effort. The reception girl was not much helping we had to wait about 3 hours to check in we had a welcome drink but the only problem was the reception is in open area no AC place except at the small bar the Humidity is so tough there even we are Egyptians but we couldn't bear the tropical weather there we were there in May 2016. The room was spacious and marvelous with a bathtub window on the ocean with the mountain view. The resort is on a mountain itself so u go up to the upper pool to have a better view. The infinity pool is marvelous and fantastic specially in the night u can have a good swim at it. The restaurant was international with different varities . The dragon fruit is amust to try and the seafood soup is very delicious and tasty. Thailand is famous with its seafood. I think you should try it specially in the resort. We stayed for 5 unforgettable nights We had the best memories at this resort. Next time will try the private villas its marvelous
Birthday celebrations in the perfect villa
We looked for a quiet, special and pampering place to celebrate our birthdays, we wanted a wonderful villa with a private pool, and we found the perfect one 🥰 The reception welcomed us so kindly, and after check-in we were driven in a golf car to our villa. The villa is so big and beautiful! We loved the amazing design! The villa has kitchenette, living room, walk-in closet, huge bathroom with crazy bath, 2 amazing sinks, shower and toilet, and a spectacularly beautiful bedroom that faces directly onto the private pool 😍 While watching the view, we were disappointed to find out that there were two days of school competitions in front of our private pool, right on our birthdays! Which ruined our experience .. Later in our trip, we had to return to the hotel for a standard room, and when the hotel manager heard we were due to return, he apologized from the bottom of his heart for the school disruption, explaining that they host them because it’s off season, and also upgraded our next room to a private pool suit. The private pool suit was amazing and spacious, with a bedroom, living room, beautiful bathroom (but smaller than the previous villa) and a stunning private pool! ❤️ For those who want a private pool and don’t know which room they should take, if the difference between the suit and the villa is not so big, I would take the villa. It is more quite, spacious and the pool is a little bigger. But if the prices gap is really big, the private pool suit is completely excellent value for money solution😊 If you don’t take a private pool, there are amazing pools in the hotel itself, and there is a pool bar in one of them! In addition, the hotel is surrounded by amazing nature, up to the banks of a river that flows into the sea 🌊 The access to the beach is via a bridge they added just above the river. The place is so natural that on the way to the beach we even saw an elephant! The view of the beach is so stunning with Hugh rocks 🏝 The hotel has a spa, a great gym, a kids club, a library, 2 bars and 2 restaurants. We ate at the 2 restaurants and both are very delicious ! We really enjoyed the breakfast, the eggs and coffee are served to the table and in addition there is a great buffet 🥐🧀 For extra fee, you can order floating breakfast to your private pool. We ordered the floating breakfast for our birthday morning, the food was delicious but we ate the food while it wasn’t so hot because of the pictures we took. The hotel is quite far from the center, so they offer shuttle services 3 times a day to Bang Niang (a big and really nice market) and to the Khao Lak center (restaurants, tours agencies and cute shops) we used them and really enjoyed! 🚌 In conclusion, the hotel has a great location, quite new and amazingly designed! The hotel is not cheap but if you look for a stunning resort, this is absolutely the place! There is a wide range of rooms and they are all beautiful, totally recommend 🥰
Beautiful Resort
Beautiful resort in Khao Lak area, well-maintained property. There is a nice river flowing through the resort, the beach is within walkable distance. friendly staff. good selection for breakfast but they can improve on the selection of vegetarian food both at breakfast and in restaurants.
Lovely stay at Kalima
We stayed at the property at the end of March 2020 just prior to the resort closing. I’ll start off by saying the hotel was clean, and hand sanitiser was readily available throughout the property. We stayed in a room with a private plunge pool. Room was lovely and spacious and had plenty of storage. The pool area was relatively small, but we managed to get a bed. I would mention that the design off the pool seemed quite dangerous, it was hard to see the walls sticking out whilst swimming. The main thing that stood out at the hotel was the food. The best food I’ve even had within a hotel! Plenty to choose from and full of flavours. We tried a variety of food on the menu, from burgers to local Thai cuisine and never had a bad meal. Staff throughout the hotel are friendly, with the exception of the man at the swim up pool bar who seemed to give everyone a frosty reception. All in all we had a lovely stay at this hotel, and hope to stay again in the future.
