New and clean
Hotel is located at the Phayao lakeside. The room and lobby area are new, modern and clean. Room amenities are good. Location is good, closed to attractions. There is Lake view from the room balcony. Breakfast is good quality and variety. The parking area is available.
Good hotel for the area
Stayed here while visiting friends. Not really a tourist area. Hotel was very clean. Free minibar (water ) haha. Kettle but bring your own coffee and tea. Asian breakfast, but there is fruit, eggs and toast. Comfortable beds, nice bathroom.
Modern and Near the Lake
The layout of this hotel is not conducive to having good views. Indeed on our floor the only views were from the gym. The hotel is modern and up to date with good rooms but few with balconies and views. Rooms were excellent and the bathrooms good. There is no common area for groups to meet. The hotel provides free bicycles for guests to explore the lake and town. There are a few bars and restaurants within walking distance.
Near perfect bar the breakfast
Our room was large and comfortable with a view over the lake, Everything worked (especially the WiFi), a/c ok, the bed comfortable, the shower large enough for two, and the free in-room tea/coffee/mineral water welcome. Towels and free shampoos etc. were all good quality.Check-in was easy (with a nice welcome drink) and this was real value for money. Staff were all helpful and friendly. The elderly are not forgotten with a ramp leading up to the reception area - but the shiny tiles in the bedroom are horribly slippery when wet. I would have liked bedside lamps on both sides of the bed rather that the single one. I would have give five stars but for the breakfast. The choice was reasonable but the eggs, sausages and fried fish fingers literally stone cold. Four and half stars then,
Good Location; Looks good but very poor usability in rooms
When you first enter the room, it is impressive. But once you try to actually use the room, the bad design is glaring. Brand new hotel, but... The internet speed is so slow it was not usable at all -- the speed checker could not even load. Very few electrical outlets, and those that exist are behind the table top -- not just under the table, but actually the table top. You have to pull the table away from the wall to access the outlets. The desktop is nice and shiny black... which means no computer mouse will work on it. The bathroom is way too small to put any toiletries at all. Had to store them in main room, and bring into bathroom one item at a time. No place to put suitcases. No usable drawers to put clothes. We were told it was a "lake view" room -- yeah, you could see a sliver of the lake over the very ugly rooftops between us and the lake. Then on checkout, they wanted me to wait while they check out the room -- but there was no minibar to take anything from, the towels were so thin and useless that you might as well use a handkerchief to dry yourself. Who would want to steal anything out of that trash?
