Stately, Convenient and Comfortable Hotel

I made a reservation at The Belleview Hotel to stay one night when I was on the road....I am an adventurous traveler and try to experience new stops, places and stays as I frequently travel (drive) the entire East Coast. The ratings of other clients as well as the location of The Belleview drew me to make a reservation. I was not disappointed. This stately, plush, iconic hotel oozed fine design, construction and taste from an earlier century. I was impressed by the staff who were very professional in greeting me and helping with check-in. Despite the current restaurant closure I enjoyed a small dinner in the large bar/lounge area, and the bartenders (Steve and George) were delightful. Cocktails were top-notch and I complimented the bartender's skill. My room (two queens with city view) was everything I needed; the room and bathroom was very clean, lots of towels provided. The bed and pillow comfort was perfect for me. Despite being in city-center, I found my evening rest to be quiet and uninterrupted. I can highly recommend this hotel if you want more of a plush experience with the proper amount of decorum. It is extremely helpful to have a parking garage attached to the hotel. I found the garage with ease, parked, and took the elevator directly to the hotel lobby. This is truly a plus for downtown Philadelphia. The Belleview is central to so many sights, shopping, restaurants! When I return to Philadelphia, this is the hotel I will stay at time and time again.
First time staying

I was excited to stay at this hotel, due to the fact I’ve heard good things, and it looked extremely nice from the photos. Upon arrival I was made aware that some of the features of the hotel were closed off due to covid, but that was to be expected. The room was nice, but was smaller than I expected and also not as fancy as anticipated. Overall it was a nice stay, but for the money, I think there are cheaper options that will provide the same level of comfort.
Very old hotel.

Stayed at this hotel for a friends wedding which was held in the ballroom. No issues with the wedding and catering services. No In-person dining options available except for the bar and private events despite the city being open for in person dining. There was no hot water in the room for both nights. Very confusing and slow elevator system. There were no bathrooms open in the lobby due to “Covid”. Tried to check-in 1 hour early but was told the room had just started being cleaned. After 45 minutes of waiting I asked if it was almost done and the front desk told me “it’s a suite so it takes longer”. At over $400 a night including taxes I would not stay here again.

Beautiful hotel with lots of character. Room was good size and clean and well equipped. Staff was friendly. Had a nice Thanksgiving meal at restaurant. Parking easy and convenient with in and out privileges until 4pm of check out day.

The hotel is beautiful, and the rooms are very nice. Staff was attentive and courteous. One night trip so almost everything was good. The thermostat in the room automatically adjusts to a pre-set temperature, at 72 degrees. Although I changed it (lower) a few times, the room ended up being quite warm, and made for uncomfortable sleeping. Had I been able to crack the window this would not have been an issue, but the windows are sealed shut. I would have preferred the ability to adjust the room temp to something that was more comfortable to me. To be honest, I did not figure this out until the morning, and I did not mention this to the front desk staff upon checkout, so I guess its possible this was an issue with my room only, but you may want to mention it when you check in, if you aren't always comfortable at 72 degrees.
