Great Experience Everytime!

We've stayed at the Renaissance multiple times and had our wedding here too. Every visit was top notch and they did a fabulous job for our wedding. The staff is fantastic. Our wedding planner, Samantha was on top of everything and our ceremony and reception was perfect. Managers Joe & Issac, waitress Amy...we can't say enough good things about their friendly, professional service. The location is convenient for Olde City and the historic sites and we walked easily to Christmas Village at City Hall.
Great Weekend in a fantastic location!

Came in for the weekend to see the Eagles game and see historical attractions. Renaissance Marriott staff was kind and courteous throughout and made us feel like part of the family. Joe was at the desk nearly every time we had a question, and gave us great recommendations and perfect directions to locations and restaurants that made our visit perfect. Thank you Joe and Renaissance Marriott!
The staff were some of the nicest people that I met in Philadelphia

I was visiting Philadelphia for the day on Saturday, November 20th. My phone is older and the battery suddenly drained. I was lost and needed help. I had no map and I needed to be at Independence Hall for a 3 p.m. timed ticket. I needed my phone to bring up the QR code. I walked into this hotel right off the street and reached out to the staff for help. A manager came out and not only gave me a charger to use for my phone but he also gave me a card for a free drink from the bar while I waited for my phone to charge. I am so grateful for the help, especially as someone who wasn't even a guest at the hotel. If you get a chance to stay here, please do so. The management is outstanding and really cares about people. Also, the bartender makes fantastic drinks. 👍😊 Julie - Michigan
Outstanding Service and Clean Accommodations. We have stayed at many hotels globally, this one has the best service.

Having stayed at many hotels, motels, and resorts globally. To our pleasant surprise, this one has the best hospitality. From the valet service that greeted us when we pulled up to Joe that saw us off as we departed, the hospitality was top notch. Even ahead of our arrival, the staff was helpful in answering our questions related to parking and navigating to the hotel. When we requested a later checkout time, the response was “what time works best for you?” The room and other facilities also exceeded our expectations. The beds were comfy, the room was clean and spacious. If you are looking for a place to stay for work or pleasure in the historic area of Philadelphia, I highly recommend the Renaissance Philadelphia Downtown Hotel. This hotel will definitely be our goto location whenever we are in the area. Thanks to the staff for making our stay a stellar and stress free experience.
Worst experience in a hotel...

I hold status with marriot and on check-in was told we were upgraded to a better room. After we arrived I noticed it was a queen-size pullout bed even though we had booked a king deluxe. The front desk gave me a hard time saying it was an upgrade since it was a higher floor. No adult would want to sleep on the bed that they "upgraded" us to. After much back and forth they agreed to put me in the room that I had initially booked. The second room smelled like a bowling alley and was dirty. I had to call down and be moved for a third time. The front desk manager said he would help make this right. I never heard from them again after being moved to the third and final room, which was the room I had booked in the first place. I would highly recommend you look elsewhere.
