title kinda covers it... Drury is just a step up from Marriott or Hilton brands. Better breakfast, better Happy Hour, (similar to the Embassy Suites, though maybe not as lavish). All the little details- clean, nice artwork, everything works. Most importantly, a very comfortable bed.
May Never Stay at Another Hotel Brand Again

With the pandemic raging we demanded cleanliness, so when we saw the reviews and all of the comments about cleanliness for the Drury Inn Happy Valley, we couldn't ignore it. We decided to give it a try. We absolutely loved it!!! Everything was so very clean and smelled so fresh. Even the space between the carpeting and the bathroom tile was sealed and there wasn't any dirt in between (this is one place that always seems to have dirt in other hotels). My back has about a pound and a half of titanium, so sleeping comfortably through the night is nearly impossible, yet somehow they have beds soft, yet firm enough to accomplish this feat. We stayed two nights and I wasn't miserable being away from my orthopedic bed that long. I actually slept very well! The shower had pump shampoo/conditioner/body wash instead of the tiny bottles that are so destructive environmentally. It was so nice to see this. So many people have mentioned the food. This is one thing that will definitely keep us coming back. The breakfast buffet had so many different hot and cold offerings, it was impossible to get bored (yes they were the same each day, but there was so much variety). The nightly happy hour was amazing. I know it is not called dinner, but in our world, we would definitely call it dinner. You get two alcoholic beverage tickets per person, per night, plus unlimited soda, plus each evening there is a different main dish and several side dishes. This added quite a value to the stay, especially during the pandemic. If we don't have to figure out a place to eat in the evening that is safe, it takes a lot of stress off of us.
Beautiful spotlessly clean hotel - great location.

Stayed overnight, and was very impressed with this hotel. Our queen room and bathroom were spotlessly clean, smelled fresh as was the bed linen. The beds were very comfy indeed. Up-to-date furniture is great, and the bed headboards are really classy. The fridge was so quiet too. Close to the I-17 but did not hear any traffic noise. Great dining area, and what surprised us was the complimentary evening meal and drinks - good selection of both, and was delicious. There is a separate bar and one can order food from their menu. The hot breakfast was also very good and plentiful. The two gentlemen check in staff at the front desk were very friendly and helpful. We were on the top floor (7) and it was so quiet. We will not hesitate to stay at this hotel again. Really one of the best we have stayed in ever, over the years.
A gem of a find. Perfect Stay!

Our stay was perfect from beginning to end. We arrived late after arriving from the other side of the country and were greeted by name. (They lock the doors at night which is reassuring from a safety perspective). Hot water was available 24/7 in the breakfast room which was a blessing to be able to make several cups of tea after a very long flight. Room was modern clean spacious and extremely comfortable. We all slept very well. My son had to log in to virtual school for 3 hours from 5am and the wifi worked brilliantly. Breakfast was a hit with everyone - pancakes waffles eggs fruit and good coffee. The most unbelievable thing was that Kathy took the initiative to send our sons coat home to us in a box after we left it in the closet and wouldn’t charge us for the postage. I’m truly lost for words. I’d stay there again in a heartbeat. It’s not a sprawling Arizona resort but it’s a great place to stay if you are on business or like us en route to Sedona, Grand Canyon and Page. It was the perfect start to our trip. Thank you to all the wonderful staff in this great hotel. An absolute gem of a find!
Happy With the Drury Inn Happy Valley
Reviewed 2 december, 2021
We recently stayed at the Drury Inn & Suites Phoenix Happy Valley and were pleased with our stay. On previous trips, we stayed at the nearby Hampton and the Holiday Inn Express on Irma Lane. I liked the Drury better than those two properties. My primary criteria is cleanliness and a fresh smell, and the Drury met these expectations. All of the people working here were kind and friendly, without fail. This is a pet friendly hotel, and we saw (and heard) a lot of dogs. Pet owners are told to use the stairwells instead of the elevators if possible, but I didn't see this happening. If you have animal allergies, you may want to stay somewhere else or request a no-pet room. There are dispensers in the shower for liquid soap, shampoo, and conditioner - no individual little bottles. Breakfasts are complimentary. You should be able to find something that you like, but be aware that it is the exact same menu every day. There is no variety. We ate dinner (Kickback) twice, and there was some variety here. I liked the barbecue sliders and the pop machine. You get a ticket for alcoholic drinks if you imbibe. It's hard to say anything negative when it's free. Access to and from I 17 is easy. I will stay here when we return to the area.
